Summary: I bought my Pixma ip 1600 after throwing out yet another Epson that dred up and became useless if not babied and used every day. The reviews looked good, the Pixma was cheap, so I bought it. A year later it still prints perfectly, even if I don't use it for two weeks.
Summary: So this printer is pretty awesome. Reviews are favorable, it's small, pretty quiet, print quality and speed are great and it ridiculously cheap... the catch is the cartridges. They're very expensive and recycled carts are very hard to come by.
Summary: As all canon printers are today cost of printing is terrible DO YOUR RESERCH DONT BUY A PRINTER BEFORE CHECKING 1 how much do cartridges cost 2 can they be refilled 3 can you buy compatibles WITH CHIPS!
Great printer, but mine jammed and broke in 2 mos.

Summary: Awesome printer, awesome price. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't jam and become unusable. If no one else had this problem, then maybe it's random and normal. The thing is, this printer was so cheap, it doesn't bother me too much. Oh, and it works great with Mac.
Summary: After Printing 45 colored 4x6 and 3-4 large size Photos the color cartridge ran out of colour. The cost of the color cartridge is $25.00 So I got my photo $25/50 0r .50 cents per print. In the long run this printer is very expensive. I had i560 and used to print at least +100 Photos.
Summary: Bought it for the low cost. Needed a slightly portable printer to take on trips. Print quality was not important. I like the ability to have it print, even if one of the cartridges are out of ink (unlike Epson printers). Ink costs will quickly surpass the cost of the printer.
Excerpt: This printer was bought for 340 RMB (equivalent to 24 pounds) in 2006. My husband and I were searching for jobs at the time, and we needed a cheap, reliable, good quality (black and white), printer to print out CVs and job information.
Pros: Cheap, fast, good quality
Cons: Ink is a little expensive compared to other printers
Excerpt: I brought this printer from Ebay as a replacement for a broken Epson D78. In total it cost £11 for : -the printer brand new in box - with the two ink cartridges - power lead - sample photo paper - and software Please be aware that it does not come with the USB cable needed to actually connect it to...
Pros: Cheap printer and quality is outstanding .
Cons: Ink maybe a bit pricey in the shops . Doesn't look very stylish
Excerpt: The Canon Pixma iP600 is a fantastic printer but it does have a few downsides. WARNING - it doesnt come equipped with the usb printer cable required and the software accompaning it is not great. The picture quality is excellent, as good as any photos printed in a photo lab.
Excerpt: The Canon Pixma IP1600 looked like a really good deal at first sight, it was the cheapest printer in the shop at only £20 and came with free ink and sample photo paper. I soon realised that it wasn't as good a deal as it had seemed, when I got home it became apparent that there was no cable to...
Pros: Good quality printing in colour, fantastic photo printing
