Summary: I still have this printer 6 years later. I refill my ink tank and only use black. After 5 years, I had to disassemble and clean the ink absorber pads inside the printer and reset the internal counter with a program to allow it to print so long. For most, it wasn't worth doing this for a cheap printer but I like a challenge (had to take it pretty far apart) and like this small simple printer.
Summary: This Pixma 1500 is the worst piece of junk there is. The error messages come one after the other for paper jams that are not there, carriages that will not move, ink waste containers that are not full, etc. The printer won't print color and black and white at the same time. Back to the drawing board!
An amazing printer wit the lowest cost cartrigest in the market.

Summary: I bought this Pixma IP 1500, excellent choice. It came just on time, and in good conditions. The only thing was that it came with a loose part, maybe because of the shipping. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed and serviced and spent just like 20 bucks, and it worked out just fine ! Totally recomended !
Summary: I bought this printer to replace another one just like it because I know it to be a great printer. Photo printing is fantastic. But I use it mostly for general purposes. Cheap Ink!!!!! Probably the best feature. But beware of some cheap ink found on e-bay. I bought some of that stuff and it never dries on photo paper. Now, the reason I had to replace the old printer was because of the dreaded waste ink tank thing.
Summary: I am very happy with this printer. I took a big risk buying it used. Print quality is great and colors come very close to the actual photo colors. I should note however I am using Edible ink & edible Icing sheets. I have a cake decorating business on the side and this is my “experimental” printer to see if I like adding printed pictures on my cakes. And will be looking forward to see if I would be able to make a return on my investment of a more expensive printer.
