Canon PIXMA iP1500

PC Magazine
16 January 2006
  • Conclusion: The $50 Canon PIXMA iP1500 photo printer offers an impressive combination of photo speed and quality for the price, along with acceptable speed and quality for text and graphics. The combination makes it a reasonable choice as either a light-duty all-purpose printer, or a second printer for occasional photo printing.
  • Pros: Low price. Faster than many standard ink jet engines for business applications as well as for photos. Most photo output qualifies as true photo quality.
  • Cons: No memory card slots. No direct printing from cameras. Ink cartridges hold little ink, making the printer suitable only for light-duty printing.

Canon Pixma iP1500 review

expertreviews.co.uk
28 April 2005
  • Excerpt: The Canon Pixma iP1500 is at the bottom of Canon's Pixma range, and you can pick one up for as little as £40 including delivery. Its build quality is pretty good for a printer at this price point. Its grey, plastic case is enlivened by a glossy, black plastic front and the paper support hinges over to cover the input path when the printer's not in use, which not only makes the printer look neater, but also protects the inner workings from stray office debris.

CANON PIXMA iP1500 review

expertreviews.co.uk
18 February 2005
  • Excerpt: The iP1500 is the baby of Canon's PIXMA range and it was released with the other budget PIXMA printers in August 2004. It falls slightly short of the designer look that Canon claims, but it's more attractive than Epson's dated-looking Stylus C46. Although the iP1500 shares a tiny two-picolitre ink droplet size with the other PIXMA printers on test here, it does without their advanced paper-handling options.
