The printer works beautifully. The only drawbacks with this model are that ...

  • Summary: The printer works beautifully. The only drawbacks with this model are that it has 6 ink tanks instead of 12 and you cannot customize paper settings automatically. This sounds worse than it is, though. You can still find a similar, preloaded paper style and just use that.

Poor service

Jbortola, Adorama
16 January 2015
  • Excerpt: The canon ipf6400 was purchased 10 days ago, it has yet to work. Canon has been out 5 times including the Canon specialist to no avail. Their approach is to just throw parts at it and hope sonething sticks.. I have asked, begged and pleaded to come and replace it since it has never worked.

So far so good

P. Minton, Amazon
10 December 2014
  • Summary: Very happy so far. Only time will tell. I have a 17" Epson printer, which makes great prints, but uses up a lot of ink. I was planning to buy a 24" or 44" Epson until I read the large Epson had a history of clogging up the printhead and being very expensive to repair, so I bought the Canon instead.

  • Summary: First, the printer received was defective. The ink feed lines are clogged. The software that came with the printer was outdated -- it doesn't work with recent MAC operating systems.
