Print Heads Need replacing Often

Dugualla, B&H Photo
13 August 2011
  • Excerpt: I am a professional photographer and I use Canon Satin 240 or 190 in my IPF5100 or Lexjet media. I shoot youth sports and only print the 5x7 team photos and 8x10 team photos on the Canon Printer. We are seasonal in our work.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Print Time
  • Cons: Too much ink used, Unreliable

Excellent quality Printer, but

Photoprof, Adorama
6 March 2011
  • Excerpt: It is a high quality printer, but it rejects paper fed into the top loading port far too often and it makes no difference what brand, type or thickness the paper may be. Only posters paper is designed to front load and I never use the cassette being a fine art photographer.
  • Pros: Durable construction, Fast Print Time, Low Ink Consumption
  • Cons: Hard Setup, Hard To Use, Jams Easily, Large Footprint

Print Head Nightmare

Dugualla, Amazon
1 January 2011
  • Summary: I bought this printer at the end of 2008 and have replaced the printheads 3 times. That's both the right and left heads at 500.00 each. This printer is a print head nightmare! I doubt seriously if I would ever buy another Canon printer. Prints are great, speed is great.
