Excerpt: It’s so easy to use too, not like the other printers that has so many buttons to click and at the end you cannot use all the features cause they seemed so many to get familiarize with. I even connect my camcorder direct to this printer and prints whatever I want without getting off the SD card since it has it’s USB Ports. The connection port of this printer is suitable for all kinds of digital cameras and DV camcorders.
Summary: Back when I got my first Canon i9900 photo printer (~2003-2004), I discovered a treasure! I chose Ilford Classic Pearl inkjet paper (no longer manufactured, but Ilford Classic Gloss is still available) Ilford has been in the photographic consumables market since the 1800s A.D.. The Canon i9900 and Ilford Classic paper (specially manufactured for brilliance and longevity with dye-based ink only) produce results so astounding that even those without technical experience...
Summary: This unit uses paper sizes from smaller than 4x6 all the way 13x19. It's the only photo printer I've owned. Guests in my home have many times complimented me on my gorgeous artwork, all of which was printed with the Canon i9900. The print head failed during the warranty period, so Canon sent me a replacement and an email explaining how to switch it out. The results are mind-boggling, eye-popping, astounding for any photo printer of any kind.
Summary: I have owned this printer for years, and it is surely the best photo printer I have ever owned. The eight-color ink set makes a huge difference. I also owned a Pixma 6600, which had a six-color ink set. This was a good printer also, but when you look at the prints next to each other, especially where greens are involved, you can see the richness of the greens in the i9900. The 13x19 prints that come out are absolutely astonishing! Thanks for the great product Canon.
I've never used an inkjet this dependable and reasonable.

Summary: As a media creator and network administrator, I've had a lot of inkjets on my desk over the years. Fifty? Eighty? None have pleased me in the slightest... except for this one. In the 5-plus years I've been using the i9900, reliability has been excellent. Once every 6-months or so, when it might have trouble grabbing an envelope or the like, I've had to gently wipe the rear feed rubber rollers with a lightly dampened cloth to rid it of paper-dust.
Summary: There is really nothing to dislike and every positive reaction is well justified. I happened to buy it because I always buy top of the line and don't pay attention to the price , perhaps because may be I am blessed and can afford it. From the first print that came out of this printer it was a marvelous incentive to take up cruising and taking pictures that I had never done before and as you might imagine I have a huge collection of especially outdoors in the Bahamas,...
Summary: This is my third Canon wide format (s9000, i9100, now i9900). Each is better than the last, and they are nearly indestructable. The ink cartridges are easily refillable, and the aftermarket inks are very good-- cartridges can be refilled at least half a dozen times before they fail to release ink. The print head doesn't clog up easily, and can usually be cleaned with solvent or compressed air.
