Excerpt: This is another colour photo printer from Canon, it is available for about $690 USD. Having bought one I found many good points with the printer. For a start the printing speed is phenomenal, it can make about 20 prints per minute, and they are of the highest quality.
Summary: This unit uses paper sizes from smaller than 4x6 all the way 13x19. It's the only photo printer I've owned. Guests in my home have many times complimented me on my gorgeous artwork, all of which was printed with the Canon i9900.
Summary: I bought no power on used printer and when I received was no power supply.I send e-mail.seller sand to me power supply, so I leave feedback for him. and I opened printer to trying to fix, but was no control pcb. I am unlucky. save money not works.
Note from an Amateur: An older HP vs the Canon i9900
7 April 2010
Summary: For about 6 years before trying the Canon i9900, I had a HP DesignJet 10PS. That printer had a reputation based on its incomplete and poorly designed RIP software. With concentrated effort, I was able to get that printer going and produced some very decent prints.
Summary: There is really nothing to dislike and every positive reaction is well justified. I happened to buy it because I always buy top of the line and don't pay attention to the price , perhaps because may be I am blessed and can afford it.
Summary: This is my third Canon wide format (s9000, i9100, now i9900). Each is better than the last, and they are nearly indestructable. The ink cartridges are easily refillable, and the aftermarket inks are very good-- cartridges can be refilled at least half a dozen times before they fail to release ink.
