Summary: I bought the printer because I like the Canon i860 for basic home use and wanted to either get parts for the one I have buy a replacement. The slightly used one offered on ebay seems lik the perfect solution for me. And, in fact, so far it is. When I need to replace it, my hope is that there will be a product in that price range by Canon that is as user friendly to operate and maintain. Its a great little printer.
Summary: This printer was a replacement for the same one I had already owned ..I've had good luck with this printer and like that I can use ink cartridges other than Canon's which can get expensive, with the newer printers you can't.
Summary: Prompt delivery of the printer. It operates as described. I am very pleased. This was a replacement of the same model printer that I had. I had just purchased new ink cartridges, but my old printer stopped working right after I bought the new ink. I chose to stay with the same model printer. I have been burned three times with past E-Bay purchases, but this seller has reinstated my faith in the system. I'm back in business!
i860 is absolutely the best - you cannot go wrong !

Summary: This is the most dependable color printer I have ever used. Purchased this one to replace a new HP that I am putting in storage (HP printers are total ink hogs). Cannon i860 has excellent clarity and is about as reasonable on ink usage as possible. "Love this printer......" Another thing: When the ink tank is empty, it stops printing and doesn't cause waste of paper. My original i860 is probably 8 years old.
Summary: • Why you bought it? I bought this to replace (same model) that I had before. • What you like most about it? It's hands down the best consumer printer Canon has ever made. • What you dislike about it? Not about the printer directly, but I tried to have the other one repaired but was told by Canon customer service they couldn't get the parts.
Summary: I love the quality printing of this printer. I had one prior to this one and it still worked fine the day I gave it to a friend. I bought this one because I tried other printers and the quality didn't even come close. I would definantly recommend this printer above the rest to anyone.
Summary: I have had this printer for 6 years now and have only had to change cartridges about two to three times. Once you get a technique (wear nitrile gloves) refilling is a cinch. Seal hole by putting a little hot glue above the hole and smear glue with a screwdriver over the hole. It's a toss-up whether to buy or refill since the refillable cartridges are dirt cheap. The head is very easily taken apart and cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner.
Summary: I bought mine new from Staples about three years ago. I used it a little and then my main computer crashed. It set idle for about two years and then I hooked it up to my backup computer and ordered some new cartridges. It works fine and prints color photos on regular paper that are almost photo quality. As for ink it is almost impossible to beat the price of those found on ebay. Have never had any problems with clogging or any problems for that matter.
Summary: Like one other reviewer mentioned, the lawsuit at Epson and their chipped cartidges. I saw the crap heading for the fan. I bought this used and can fill it for pennies. It works excellent, prints fast, I'm in love! I may buy another one for backup or at least a backup printhead.
