Excerpt: This printer is great for printing out a few pages. It’s very affordable and is easy to use. Setting up is easy –with the usb cable so no need for extra printer cables. The print quality is adequate although I wouldn’t say it was amazing. It don’t seem to get anything like 12 pages per minute – more like 3 or 4 is I’m printing a whole page of text. One problem is that the cartridges run out fast – maybe 100 pages of black text per cartridge.
Excerpt: I bought this canon i250 bubblejet printer a quite a while ago now but still it produces top quality prints that you would expect from a canon printer of this price. being very small and very very cheap at a price of £40 i have found now this printer is an absolute bargain. The white casing does not look cheap and would not ruin the look of a smart office.
Excerpt: I got this printer for my 1st computer. I had never used a printer before but i found this one the cheapest and smallest so i went for it not really knowing what i was buying! This was my best moves ever. It costs around £7 for the cannon ink (wilkos) and £3 for the compatable ones (my local market). I had never installed anything onto a PC before so i was worried about installing a printer!
Excerpt: I brought the Canon i250 from argos for £50. I feel that it was money well spent as it is a reliable as a wood burning stove and is as easy to use as a pair of scissors. The money saved on the cost of ink on this printer is truly amazing as i used to spend upto £60 a time on a lexmark z55 printer i had previously. The speed is not lightning but is good for a printer of this size and cost.
Excerpt: Design - Neat, fairly compact, light, stylish Cost - £40 when new Print quality - 5 levels user sets - draft levels print quite quickly and don't use too much ink. Photo quality is limited as this is a budget printer. It uses quite a bit of coloured ink if you choose top quality photo printing. Generally good for letters or other home / small business documents. Installation - Easy - Just put the CD-ROM in the computer.
Pros: Cheap and cheerful, relatively quick, unmessy printing experience
Cons: Loud, paper feed temperemental, greedy for ink if printing photos
Excerpt: This is a cheap printer for those who don't want to spend a lot of money. Black and white printing is very fast, whereas colour printing takes a very long time, so this isn't a great choice if you want to print a lot of pictures. The printer also takes about a minute to warm up and prepare for printing after switiching on, and it makes a lit of whirring noises during this time.
Pros: Fast B/W Printing, very cheap (unofficial) ink .
Cons: Slow colour printing, takes ages to prepare, no collecting tray
Excerpt: I have one of these and find it incredibly easy to use, some of the features on this are: quiet mode (great if you have to print something off at night!!! Doesnt disturb the kids!!!) maintinance at the click of a mouse cleans the rollers, nozzle check, deep cleaning. Also has a low ink warning so you know you need more ink!!!! Colour management allows you to choose which setting would be best for your particular document.
Excerpt: When our old printer packed up we had to bit the bullet and get a new one. We didnt want memory stick slots, copier and scanner built in, camera docking, all we wanted was a printer that printed! We have now owned this model for 14 months and it has been a joy to use. Simple USB connection and install software, with web print which is very handy! The printer itself is quite compact and doesnt take up a lot of desk space.
Excerpt: This is the first printer we have owned. We were after something relatively cheap on price and cheap on cartridges. We purchased this little printer about 12 months ago from PC World and it set us back £39.99. It comes with all USB connections and a set-up CD-Rom. Very simple to install and run - a fool could do it - well I did! THE LOOK Nothing special. Very light weight and very simplistic.
Excerpt: We have now owned this Canon printer for quite a while and so far, it has worked pretty well, avoiding all the major problems such as paperjams e.t.c. However, we do only use this printer at home for things like school essays and information from the internet, so it has never really been put under much pressure. For our needs it is plenty fast enough and relatively efficient.
Pros: easy, cheap, does what it says
Cons: not one of these high tech new fangled things
