Summary: We bought this for our small office as an accounting office printer for checks and management reports. Very clean and basic design, only had it two weeks but it seems very reliable. The most noticeable point is that the printer seems very fast - both in terms of starting to print immediately and pages per minute. It is even fast with two sided printing. So far very satisfied.
Summary: This is the 1st B&W Laser printer I have owned. I print alot of material for class journals & homework assignments year round. This Canon Laser printer is super fast. One of the features that I like is the duplex printing. The first day I received my printer, I printed a ream of paper, double sided. It saves time and money! I am connected via USB, so I have yet to connect to my wireless network, but my son assures me that if needed, it will work fine.
Summary: I purchased this printer to print out lessons for the online classes I am taking. It is fantastic, and just what I wanted. It only prints in back and white (monochrome) and automatically prints on both sides. This saves money on ink and paper. The set up was very simple and I have zero issues with it since then.
Summary: I read many reviews and wanted a simple, reliable, networked (this is wired only!) and duplex capable laser printer. After a thorough time of researching I decided that this model Canon fit our needs and our space requirements. I did not require color or multi-printing type features. I have a separate photo printer with scanning capability; also a Canon.
Summary: Before I had this, I used Epsom printers which were pieces of crap that broke easily. So a friend advised me to stick to Canon or Kodak printers so i bought this. Worked flawlessly since I bought it but the toner cartridges are expensive - its almost the same price as a new printer entirely. For this reason, I bought a B&W printer - don't think I could afford the colour version. Still very happy with the printer though.
Summary: I was looking for a laser B & W printer that prints double sided sheets and didn't have a seperate toner and drum (too expensive and problematic in my experience). The Canon fits the bill and produces really good clear prints. It is easy to set up, well designed and manufactured. Can't fault it.
Summary: It's worth spending more on a laser printer.... This printer is ultra fast and only noisy when printing - there is no warm-up time. Fast, clean printing and no-problem duplex printing, which saves paper when you want to print long documents or drafts. Very easy to set up and instal, but you do need to buy a separate USB cable (not a problem for me as I needed a 3 metre one anyway). My unit came with a UK mains cable.
