Summary: Great little printer. For the price, I didn't expect much at all, but I prefer it to my HP inkjet that cost 3x as much. It's only 600 DPI, so don't expect brilliant illustrations or shading, but if most or all of your printing is texts and basic graphics, you cannot go wrong with this little workhorse.
Summary: I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this little printer!!! If you are looking for a workhorse for your home or home office, this little gem is the bomb whether you are using a Mac* or Windows PC. Here's the rundown: Setup and Install - super quick, super simple *Mac users - go to Canon's website and download the driver then go to System Prefs, Printers and add it. Print Quality - excellent for the price point.
Conclusion: By Charlie from Eliot, Maine on 7/6/2014 This Canon image CLASS LBP6000 Mono Laser Printer is a real "sleeper" in the choices of someone who wants a high quality black and white printer that does not need expensive ink cartridges. It comes with a toner cartridge and no separate drum is needed saving lots of money. It came delivered to my home and within ten minutes I printed my first page. The printing was perfect.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use, smart looking
Summary: Been using this for about 4 months now and haven't had any problems, it was simple to hook up and use with simple plug and play installation. I mainly us it for printing shipping labels and packing slips (ebay) and got just shy of 900 printed pages out of the stock toner cartridge. The foot print isn't as small as I thought it would be (looking at the picture) as the front is actually the paper tray and needs to be folded down to be used.
Summary: I bought this for the times when I need a printer with me away from the office. And now I have a reliable backup should my office printer go down. I would recommend this for anyone printing 100 or less copies a week. It will probably work fine for many more, but one with a larger toner capacity would be a better option at that level. Not that 1,500 (realistic) copies is anything to sneeze at. Easy to set up and good enough print quality.
Summary: This printer was a replacement for an small color inkjet printer, and a great replacement it is. When black and white printing will do what is needed, this printer shines. The paper try is adjustable to various widths of paper so I can use up some 8" paper that I have. Installing the printer on my iMac was a breeze and the warm up period before it prints is short. Printing multiple copies is quite fast.
Summary: I bought this Canon Laser Printer to produce a printout of a page of data from an internet site on one side of the paper, and after doing some work on that data locally, print the results of the local work on the other side of the paper. It is very easy to do that with this printer due to the layout of the feed tray and the output tray. The setup and driver installation was quick and simple with Windows 7 64bit.
