Excerpt: This printer works. It is a great buy and it gets the job done. I had this printer working in minutes and it has printed more than 400 pages without a problem. I had it shipped to my home, it arrived in 2 days. Good job Staples.
Excerpt: I got this printer as a replacement for a piece of junk called an HP inkjet (by the way do NOT buy an HP printer). I have heavier duty lasers at work but wanted an inexpensive home printer. I liked it so much I ordered an extra to use as a backup office printer. It's an incredible deal for the price! PROS: It is faster than lasers that cost 2-3 times as much - almost no warmup time. The print is crisp. Toner, especially if you use non-Canon toner, is VERY cheap.
Summary: I bought this Canon Laser Printer to produce a printout of a page of data from an internet site on one side of the paper, and after doing some work on that data locally, print the results of the local work on the other side of the paper. It is very easy to do that with this printer due to the layout of the feed tray and the output tray. The setup and driver installation was quick and simple with Windows 7 64bit.
Summary: This laser is very fast and blew past my expectations. To clarify for those having issues on Mac, I have the latest Mac software (10.9.2) on my laptop and installation was no problem. Here's what you do: First of all, the CD provided with the laser is trash if you are on 10.9.2, you will get an error message when trying to install off the instructions provided in the manual.
Excerpt: This printer has a very small footprint, takes up only a small desk real estate. The printer arrived well packaged. It is strange that Canon did not include the USB cable so make sure you have one on hand. The machine did come with a cartridge, albeit a demo one, but so far has allowed me to print several pages a day for the last couple of months. Very easy to set up and I did not have any problem with connecting to a Windows 7 machine.
Excerpt: Easy to install, small footprint on desk and reasonably priced for the function it does. Toner is also cheap if you buy the generic toner cartridge. Comes with software, instructions but no USB cord. Only comes in color white. Paper is fed from the bottom tray in front after cover is opened. May leave it open but I close it to reduce space and keep dust off. Another cover on top needs to be opened so the printed paper can come out.
Summary: I work at home and was using my personal inkjet printer for work. I felt like I was going to wear it out so starfed looking for a small basic laser printer to use for work. I don't have a lot of extra space on my desk and wanted something small. I've had this printer for a coiple of months and really like it. It is fast and I am still using the original cartridge. I would definately recommend this printer.
Excerpt: I'm a bookkeeper and needed a printer in a hurry do to tax time. I needed to upgrade from my Brother which was a mono printer too. But with Brother the tone & drum cost was to much. The canon works great for the heavy loads of reports I run and the cost of tone is 1/2 and I don't have to worry about getting a drum. and I got a great deal it was on sale and if you use rewards Wow.
