  • Excerpt: A reliable printer that produces fast text print offs and excellent photos. The Canon i865 is a great printer, it prints fast and clear text documents and the picture quality is simply amazing. The i865 comes with a host of features, including an attachment that allows u to print 6x4 photos, a direct from camera printing port and borderless printing. The printer has seperate ink cartridges allowing you to change only the colours needed.

  • Excerpt: Well i am not an expert but I love our new printer! Hubby chose it cos he'd read some great reviews and it was very reasonable. It was very easy to install and the software that it comes with is a doddle - even for me! It's not the prettiest or smallest printer but it looks fine - silver and black and fits nicely on our shelf above the pc!
  • Pros: Cheap ink, excellent quality printing, can print on CDs, great photo quality
  • Cons: Bit bulky, not the prettiest, photo feed not great

  • Excerpt: Intro ====== First of all a bit of background knowledge. The printer I am reviewing is designed to be connectted to a PC, and can be used to print documents and photos. This specific type of printer is an inkjet printer. Inkjet printers are the ones aimed an home-users and are far cheaper than laser printers. They use droplets of ink to print and as such are not as fast as laser printers. What do you get?
  • Pros: Fast, High quality, Cheap ink
  • Cons: None

  • Excerpt: I have had my Canon i865 for around 2 months now. I purchased it to complement my ixus digital camera, and it has worked like a dream. First Impressions After opening the box and plugging in, installation was a breeze. The included software is very helpful and easy to use, and did not cause me any problems whatsoever. The printer itself is nicely presented in grey and silver, and feels solid to the touch.
  • Pros: Cheap, Quiet, Pretty good quality
  • Cons: Using small photo adapter is tricky

  • Excerpt: I must confess a bias towards Canon printers. In the last 6 years I have had three of them, (with a very brief defection to Epson machines), each a massive improvement over the last. And this is by far and away, the best I have owned yet. I bought it 3 months ago for about £120 from the very efficient Pixmania, who (after a brief telephone check within hours of placing the order) arrived at my door two days later with a very large box.
  • Pros: Impressive photo reproduction, range of features
  • Cons: Needs a bit of space .

  • Excerpt: I bought this printer a couple of weeks ago. it is jammed packed full of feature, it can even print on CD! the printer is very silent, having to listen very carefully to hear the whirring noises that a normal computer makes, and I can still put it into 'silent mode' never tried it as you never needs to, its silent already. The kit comes with several accessories. Two adaptors: one for printing on CDs and one for photo paper sizes (4r etc.
  • Pros: Easy to use, good features, 5 ink barrels
  • Cons: May be large

  • Excerpt: Let's start from the top... Canon make good quality printers, they look good, have a good reputation and, so what if they sponsor Williams F1 - they know what they're doing in the printer market :-) . In anticipation of potential EU complaints about the cost of running inkjet printers Canon have pre-empted the criticisms and have separate ink cartridges so they're cost effective when. say, the red ink runs out - you just buy a red cartidge.
  • Pros: Awesomely fast, separate ink cartridges, specialist sheet feeders .
  • Cons: Bundled software
