Summary: One can buy ink for pennies instead of $$$$. The manufactures are making sure they will not sell any thing this easy/frugal again! (That's for sure) In fact the newer operating systems will not allow one to use these on a lot of the newer systems.
10 years on - and this little work horse is still performing

Summary: Ok, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that I bought this printer back in 2004. It was a lower-mid-range printer at the time If I recall - not the cheapest on the market, but not up among the most expensive either.
Summary: This is my all time favorite printer. It was also my fastest. I have not purchased a printer in the past two years since mine died. I wish they would bring it back! I had no problems with it until an 1 inch action figure fell into it while it was printing. Otherwise, it is well missed.:0(
Summary: I purchased this printer back in Oct. 2003 and it still works well 8 years later. As long as you clean the print head regularly, this should last a long time. The ink also lasts for quite a while as long as you are not strictly printing photos.
Summary: The Canon i560 is a great printer because it uses individual ink tanks for each color (Black, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan). This allows the user to replace the appropriate color ink tank as the ink is used up. The printhead of this printer is separate from the ink tanks.
Summary: I've had this reliable printer since 2003, more than seven years as of this writing. It's my basic workhorse printer. I would guess they don't make it any more, but I've been very happy with my switch from HP printers. I have a newer Canon multi-function that I'm happy with too.
