Summary: I do a lot of photo prints so I wanted an inkjet with variable paper sizes that doesn't do anything but print, and this machine delivers outstanding quality and color. When my old one died (probably 10 years or so old!) I was loath to "try" something else, so I turned to good old ebay, where older is better - right? - and found this one. I like it especially because I can adjust the printhead, clean it, clean the ink jets, etc. etc., myself, and I am NOT a techie!
Summary: I was really glad to find a Canon i560 on ebay. I had my previous one for about 10 years and love the simplicity and reliability of it. The print heads can be pricey and that is what seems to go on these printers, so it was more reasonable to get a used printer.
Summary: super printer, easy on ink and high quality pictures, 10 year old unit still working great!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Summary: I love this printer. It is a fine one. The ink tanks are easy to refill, no setting chip, so the ink cartridge is very cheap and easy to find on Ebay. You will save a lot of money. It is fast with black and wite prits.
Summary: The Canon i560 is a fine printer. It is fairly fast, its ink tanks are easy to refill, with no setting chip, and it has parallel and USB connectivity. It has dust covers both for the paper feed and paper exit, although you must remember to open the exit door or you will get a jam. Of course it can be left open, and it serves as a paper catching tray.
Summary: I bought this printer because it is very similar in features and operation to my old Canon i550 which recently gave out on me. It also uses the same ink cartridges, which I have a bunch of, and they are cheap to replace. These printers are solid workhorses and economical to operate for routine printing. I have a newer Canon Multipass that I use for photo work. One problem with these older printers is that the print heads eventually quit working.
Summary: Do yourself a favor shop else where!!! Save yourself some time and money. Thge printer I was sold didn't work and still dosent work.... Got one over on me, don't let them do the same to you......
Refill your cartridges and it pays for this printer

Summary: It is hard to beat the Canon i560 printer, because the print quality is high, and you can save lots of money by refilling the ink cartridges. Doing so pays for the printer. The ink cartridges in this printer are see-through, so you can see what you are doing very easily. It's a little messy when you first try refilling, but the more you do it, the less messy you can make it. I LOVE this printer!
Summary: Unit was cheap at $10.00 and was to replace a recalcitrant i860. But, I managed to get the i860 print head clean so it continued in use. The i560 lacks a print head which I imagine will run near $70. Unit will sit on the shelf until I find reason to invest the $70. Other Canon printers have delivered fine service and I imagine that the 560 will do so as well when fully equipped.
