Summary: Got this printer for my birthday in July 2003. Five years later and it's still chuggin' along as well as it ever did. Cheap and easy to find ink tanks, when it thinks it's dirty it does a self-maintenance cleanup.
Summary: I really liked this printer while it lasted. It printed color beautifully, though I never did get a chance to test its photo printouts. I print occasionally. Maybe 10-20 pages/week. Unfortunately, after a year, the print head broke on its own.
Summary: I liked the printing quality of this inexpensive printer, and the price of the ink for it can't be beat. However, this model printer seems to have some trouble after about a year and a half on average; it refuses to print in black. I'm a college student, black ink is a necessity.
Summary: Bought mine in Nov.'04 - worked great until the print head went out in April'05. Now it's August only 4 months later and the print head as once again gone kaput. $80 bucks in 4 months, what a piece of crap. I do not recommend this printer to anyone, in fact I wish I had bought another Epson!
Summary: I'm very pleased with this printer. The price is right, it prints great looking text fast, it prints great looking photos (not quite as fast), and supplies are inexpensive compared to HP. I don't think it is too noisy. Don't forget to get a USB (AB) cable as one is not included with the printer.
Good picture quality, bad software when control is needed

Summary: I'm happy with the print quality from this printer for pictures (and the borderless option is great), but I've found that the printer utility software has too many limitations. You can not fine tune the settings to get the machine to print the way you want it too.
Summary: The printer produces close to professional quality prints. It is very inexpensive to produce those prints, although the cartridges are 10 ml as opposed to the standard 15 ml they are still less than half the cost.I had a lexmark printer before this one and i'll always have a canon.
