Summary: We were replacing the Canon BJC 2100 printer, that we have had for ten, (yes 10) years, that had stopped working. But the one we purchased, has a carrier for the printhead, that is broke. And I have not been able to fix it yet. But I was able to use the printhead from the one that I bought, to make the old printer work. So all was not lost. The printer type is quite good, USB and bi-directional,but no longer, manufactured. We use this with WEB TV.
Summary: Being unable to find this product on any other site, I was reluctant to buy this product but I'm glad I purchased it here. I received it days before it was expected, it was exactly what I was looking for and for a very decent price.
Summary: compact/easy to use/inexpensive ink cartridges!!! Probably more difficult to find these days, but picking up a used model, I was thrilled to pay $4-$6 at 123inkjets for cartridges. Canon is a reputable manufacturer.
Summary: We got this printer new for [...] so we did not expect much. This printer is one of the only printers that has the capability to plug into old and new computers with both types of cable interfaces. If you do your own ink refills, this type of cartridge can be refilled in about 30 seconds, with no mess. Other types take 20 minutes or more with a huge messy ordeal. We can count on this printer in emergencies when any of our 4 home computers fail.
Summary: i actually wanted to buy an epson c43ux but since it was out of stock, i decided to buy the canon bjc 2100sp. the dpi is quite low for a printer these days and also the epson model had much higher dpi. but then since i am was only print color photos once in a full moon and most of my needs would be for text prints, i settled for a canon printer. the installation was a jiffy even with a parallel port and we were up and away in just over a minute.
Summary: I bought this printer for my 85-yr-old mother to use with her iMac (OS 9.2). From the outset, there were problems. The drivers provided on the CD did not load properly, and the printer has never printed the way it should. I had to download drivers from the Canon website, which did not work either.
Summary: I'll never buy another Canon printer again. I recieved this useless pile of junk as a wedding gift. It refused to print. At all. No test sheets, nothing. So I PAID to call their inane tech support to fix THEIR problem. Spent an hour on the phone. The result? I get a "factory refurbished" printer in exchange for my new one. As I expected, the factory refurbished unit failed shortly after the 90 day warranty expired. At least I didn't pay for this piece of rubbish.
Summary: Unfortunately our printer only lasted 6 months. It stopped working and the diagnosis was a clogged or defective print head which would cost me more to fix than the printer originally cost in the first place. If you want a disposable printer this can be the printer for you.
