Summary: I have had this little printer for over 7 years. I print lots of documents and this little printer just keeps going and going and going. I admit it is slow by the standards of printers today but this has been one reliable workhorse.

Summary: I owned this printer since 1998 and it is still working. It is reliable. It let you print a lot of pages before the ink is out. You can network this printer without a problem. It can easily be put on a print server and used by all the computers on the network.
Summary: Sucked. Clunky piece of junk. Though it only cost me potatos to buy... but it cost me a forture to operate. If you own one do yourself a favor and through it out with the empty ink and buy something economical. $35 for black and it prints...
Summary: This was a sturdy little printer--for about eighteen months. It was great for documents, so-so with the color, a disaster with photos, but I used it for basic b/w printing 98% of the time. Then---sudden death. Something fizzled with the mechanism that moves the cartridge.
Summary: Wear and tear on our network warrants investigating the operating costs of printers and such. The BJC1000 is sold as a color printer for less than $100.00. While printing with a color cartridge, the printer is slow as .... slow.
