Only Works with Brother Labels

Philip E., Newegg
29 May 2013
  • Pros: I haven't used due to paper restrictions.
  • Cons: Will not work with any labels other than Brother DK Labels. DK labels have a special spool holder. If that spool holder isn't in the printer it won't work. Spool holder also tells the printer for which size paper is installed.

This thing is great

Michael L., Newegg
12 November 2012
  • Summary: I've been using this with Excel - if you select the QL-1060N as your printer in the Excel print options, the dotted page break lines will show up on the speadsheet corresponding to the label size installed in the printer. This makes it quick and easy to get printing.
  • Pros: Extremely fast, large selection of labels, integrated easily into office network, automatically detects label size, printer driver works well with MS Office.
  • Cons: P-touch software seems a little cluttered, but really all I need is the printer driver and MS Office

Disappointing replacement for LP 2844

Richard, Staples
19 January 2010
  • Excerpt: I replaced an LP 2844 with this for use with Endicia and their Dazzle mailing label software. It networked easily. Dazzle is fine with it, but the small international labels don't fit into the print area of a 4x6 label. [...] still takes them, but they're clipped a bit on the left side. Domestic labels from dazzle print fine. The cheapest label blanks I can find for this cost 4-5 times the cheapest I used in the LP 2844.
  • Pros: Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Excellent Print Quality, Fast Operation, Reliable
  • Cons: Expensive labels, Label jams, Label Overrun

10 September 2009
  • Summary: This unit was purchased to compare it to the Dymo label maker. The requirements were originally just to print labels for customer parts, stock, and shipping labels. All these are within the capabilities of both printers and we considered this a fair test. This unit exceeded in this comparison and is able to print a special customer required 4x6 barcode label that normally had to be printed on full sheet label paper using the laser printer.
  • Pros: This unit is well built, fast, network ready, and is multi-format capable. Excellent range of available label sizes.
  • Cons: If anything, the accompanying software has a few quirks. If you are using a formatted text/image on a label and wish to change label size/type, the scaling of the current text/image changes, always in the wrong direction.

  • Summary: I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a high end label printer.
  • Pros: This printer is great. It prints everything that I would want to print, and with the die cutter I can make any label any size I want.
  • Cons: Every once in a while the label tape is difficult to load.

Good Label Printer

DNYPNR, Amazon
3 August 2010
  • Summary: I like this printer very much. We use it in an office to print a few shipping and address labels. It is much faster than going and putting a sheet of labels in the printer and getting that all set up. It is a bit difficult to set it up originally. If you don't it will print the labels wrong and print extra blank labels.
