Summary: I am very pleased with the speed, two sided printing to save paper on large print jobs, and two trays to hold my letterhead in one and plain paper in the larger tray. It's wifi capability allowed me to put this printer away from the computer in my office but still in a convenient place that I can reach without getting out of my chair.
Summary: Tried out the unit with 2 trays plus "multi-purpose" feed. Seems like a nice printer, of course made with a lot of plastic. HOWEVER, the printer driver for the Mac is missing many features of the Windows driver. One missing feature is a deal breaker. A reason to have multiple feed trays is to be able to use separate trays for printing the first page and for printing from the second page onwards. We have been doing this from Macs for 20 years.
Summary: This was to replace my workhorse for my business that was ruined by a bad cartridge. I didn't think I could like another printer like the other one I had. It almost compares. I did pay $3000 for my other one, so for the price I absolutely love it.
Summary: I've had this printer for almost a year and cannot get it back on the wireless network, nor can I get it to recognize the legal-sized paper tray. I have not called the company yet, but I'm threatening too. Maybe tomorrow. When I first got the printer and fired it up, I could print to it from every device in my house including my iPhone, iPad, and iMac. Not anymore.
Summary: Over all the printer seems to be a good value for the price. I believe brother may need to work on their quality control. The first printer died after a few hours of use. Amazon promptly sent a replacement which seems to be holding up well, time will tell.
Summary: Very fast, not too noisy, quite economical printer. A real value for the money. We've had a Brother business fax/printer/copier for 3 years without a single down day, so I anticipate this printer will be as reliable.
