Excerpt: The product claims that it was designed for a high volume environment; but nothing could be further from the truth! The first one that we purchased caught fire the first week we had it. The TN-750 high yield cartridge barely gets half of the projected volume for printed documents.
Excerpt: Cannot even explain how disappointed I am with this printer. After 2 days it was no longer working. Called Brother tech support and they tried to trouble shoot it and they could not fix it either nor could or IT department.
Summary: If you're looking at purchasing this printer, think long and hard first. We have owned a Brother 5150 for five years and it's great. This machine was to be an addition to that one and an upgrade in many ways; it does not print; it is locked up and unrepairable.
Summary: Bought Brother HL5450DN printer. It arrive with a defective toner cartridge that left ink smudges on page. After a long discussion with customer service and sending them copies of the smudged prints, they admitted it was a defective cartridge and said they would send instructions for returning it...
Summary: I ordered this device as it is one of the few home printer options that supports Google Cloud Print - the convenient protocol that allows you to print from any device. I have devices at home running five different operating systems, and I really didn't want to deal with printer drivers for all five.
Excerpt: Very poor quality machine. You get what you pay for. It's heavy, loud, large, labels get jammed. Starting falling apart after a short period of time, along with the toner is expensive. So you do not save any money after you buy the toner.
Cons: Flimsy, Labels Keep Getting Jamme, Noisy, Uses Too Much Ink
Summary: I bought this printer mostly for its small footprint and needed only a black and white printer. It was hardly used when it started printed all black pages, then ceased to work at all. Called the manufacturer and they said nothing could be done since it was out of warranty.
