Network settings require a reset every now and then

Summary: I've set 2 of these up for different people and they both have the same exact problem where, after a few weeks of use, you can't print from any computer on the network. The only way to fix this is to factory reset the printer's network card settings, which is a royal pain if you have modified them. I e-mailed Brother's tech support and they tried to blame it on the network, even though initially I had the printer on a static IP well outside the DHCP range.
Summary: We've had good luck with these printers. They're reliable and the toner lasts a long time. It's a great printer for a small workgroup, and very Mac friendly. The big flaw is that it's a hassle to print envelopes. You have to open the back and flip two switches to change the fuser pressure. If you don't do this, the Brother will crumple the envelopes. So if you have to print envelopes regularly (like we do), look for another printer.
Summary: The printer works just as you would expect. I haven't encountered any problems but I've only been using it for an hour. That said the 5 stars is for EXCELLENT customer service - an absolute pleasure in this day and age. I almost gave this printer 1 star because right out the box it did not work with Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). You will get an error message that PCPower applications are not supported.
