Great Value

RD "-RD", Amazon
5 February 2012
  • Summary: I've had this printer for about 3 months and so far have had no complaints. We're pretty light users and probably only print about 100 pages a month (if that). However, I do really like that the printer is fast, the quality is great and the duplex printing is awesome.

Vincent Lavallee "Vincent LaVallee", Amazon
12 January 2012
  • Summary: While this printer works well and the print is nice, and it is reasonably fast, especiually for it being a very low cost laser printer, it does not have a network connection. In order for it to be shared by other PCs on the local network, it must be done so thru the host PC that this printer is...

almost optimal

bwinter, Amazon
19 October 2011
  • Summary: The printer is really fast and prints duplex nicely. It was very easy to set up and its noise level is good. One thing though is that sometimes, there's small errors in the printing, e.g. a small grey spot in the middle of the picture (barely noticeable).

Fantastic Printer

Papadoc1000 "Papadoc1000", Amazon
7 March 2011
  • Summary: I've been an HP printer buyer for 20 years... not anymore. Having had it with built in obsolesence in the HP line, dating toner so you can't stock up and use it later, expiration of printer services, I decided to give this Brother a try. The ease of setup was great - plug and play.

A very good value

John R. Barker, Amazon
15 December 2010
  • Summary: We needed an affordable laser printer that could handle duplex printing. We print classic books for our children's homeschooling curriculum. I also use the printer in my business. To date we've printed 12-15 books with a total of 150-250 pages each.

Super fast printer, but...

H. Chung, Amazon
2 October 2010
  • Summary: This is a very fast printer considering the price tag. Faster than all HP printers I use that are similarly priced, but... Warm up speed is slow. Maybe if I set it up so that it doesn't go to sleep wouldn't be an issue. It is also a loud machine. The click/clack noise is awful.

Best bang for your buck

R. Dotson, Amazon
17 August 2010
  • Summary: I am an accountant and use this printer in my office for general printing, check stock printing, and label printing. I print around 1,000 pages per month. I have had no problems with jamming or other printer errors, which is always a blessing when printing checks and labels. Print quality is great.

Brother HL5340D Laser Printer

S. Teague "ideaman4u", Amazon
23 July 2010
  • Summary: I read the reviews on this printer before buying it. I had always bought HP printers in the past, but I did not want to spend a fortune on a new laser printer and duplexing was a plus. When I saw the price AND that this printer does automatic duplex printing, I was pretty well sold.

Not bad printer for the price

C. R. Thomas, Amazon
1 May 2010
  • Summary: I like this printer for the price. I am happy with the features, including its fast speed and duplex ability. As for the printing quality, it is not quite as good as my HP printer. The fonts seemed a tiny bit compressed, sometimes the dot on the "i" would be too close to surrounding letters.
