Summary: Have tried to install this printer wirelessly and can't get it to work wirelessly with Mac OS 10.7. The installation disc comes with an outdated program that you can't use on the new Mac OS. You have to go to Brother's website to get the new drivers and instructions and they make no mention of being able to install it wirelessly. I've searched the web and tried everything I can think of and can't get it to work.
Summary: If you own a Mac and have an Airport Extreme or Time Capsule, follow these instructions for a super easy wireless installation: 1. Follow the instructions in the manual and when you get to Confirm your network environment on page 23, choose the "Configuration using the SES/WPS/AOSS" instructions and skip to page 39. 2.
Summary: Received this printer 3 days ago from Amazon. Right now it is connected to two desktops via USB cables and a USB switch. It is also connected to my laptop via the wireless connection. Both USB and wireless set up was a breeze. It did, however, take several hours of fooling with the settings, of which there are many, to get color prints to my satisfaction. Color reproduction is not perfect. But then I don't believe I ever saw a color printer in this price range that was.
Summary: This printer is a perfect addition to the home, for people that are not looking for glossy photo printing. This printer gives you a long-term home printing solution without the headaches that ink based printers have. The only issue I have discovered, is that when using wifi, it tends to loose connectivity after going to sleep and needs to be power-cycled before use. This issue does not occur when connected via wired Ethernet.
Summary: Tired of buying ink cartridges for ink jet printers. Cartridges seem to dry out before getting the stated number of prints so I decided to try a laser printer. Great laser printer for the price. Use it for home use only and no problems so far. A little bit of a problem setting up the wireless feature. The print quality of documents is fine but photo quality is not as good as ink jets printers but it is adequate.
Summary: Hardest part about setting up the printer is the wireless. The software and instruction manual will walk you through the wireless setup using wired or wireless connections. I found it easier to configure using the wireless SETUP network and then join the printer to the router. Just follow the instructions on the screen and have your router configurations ready.
Pros: Compact Design, Durable Construction, Easy To Use, Fast Print Time, Reliable, Sharp tones & colors
Summary: This printer is a good bargain for the price, and great for home or small office use. It prints good quality color images rather quickly. Setup via USB cable was straightforward and easy. The printer appears solidly made, and is rather heavy. I like that it has a built-in straight-through paper path option, for handling heavier stock. However, connecting this printer directly to a network can be challenging, especially a wireless network.
stopped receiving data, stopped printing shortly after purchase

Summary: This was my initial review a few weeks into it: Very easy to set up, love the wifi connection. Print quality is good. It does not take up too much space. No problems so far. However I only had it for a few weeks. There is not yet any problem with the toner as some have reported here. And thanks to those reviews I would know how to cheat the machine and have the toner last longer and produce more print.
4.5 Stars for sure! Great printer, one minor complaint.

Summary: The first thing I should mention is that I guess I was lucky enough to purchase this print at $238, before they upped it to $338 here on Amazon. I sure do feel lucky I had Amazon Prime with this shipment! I clicked on the updated shipping to see how much it would be, and it would've been $111!! Anyway, this seems like a really great printer, and I feel as though my research has paid off.
