Summary: I have had this printer for over a year with no problems. The cartridges do not have much toner in them but I have found a local print cartridge shop that can refill for less money. The quality of print is good for business use. No real maintenance to speak of.
Summary: We have three of these Brothers in our offices and they last longer and are easier to setup then inkjets. Great for networking as well. Toner is a little expensive, and I've found it easier to just buy another Brother when the drums go bad since the new ones come with a whole new toner supply.
Summary: So far this is a review of customer service-- I haven't purchased a USB cable yet so I can't fully test the printer. Although I will say it is a bit larger than I expected (I didn't research at all though) and a LOT heavier. Test page printed in a second. Awesome!
Summary: This device fully supports IPv6, however out of the box it is configured as IPv6 only. At first installation the user must login using IPv4 via the web interface and check the box to enable IPv6 in the TCP/IP menu.
Summary: Before settling on the Brother HL-3040CN, I did a lot of researching. Checking reviews of different makes and models. and visiting a bunch of stores to see them in action. The main reason why I went with this one was the color printing speed of 16-17 ppm.
Summary: This is by no means a top of the line toner style printer. I do not run it heavy and I do with is did postscript a little better but for what I paid for this machine is works great and as expected.
