Summary: I bought this printer few years ago for my son, don't use much (less than 100 pages) and leave it alone. This month, when I turn it on, I get error EF5. Now I have to through it away because the cost of replace part (the OPC belt) about $450. With $299, I could buy the new HP LaserJet Pro M177fw All-in-One Color Printer :) So, please do not buy this printer unless you want to through your money and time.
Summary: I have had this printer for awhile and used it intermittently. Recently, the OPC belt went out. I'm sure I've printed about 1000 pages with this printer, in total. To replace the belt is about $300. I contacted their customer service through online chat and they told me how to get the count for the number of pages printed with my belt. However, they didn't seem to understand that I couldn't actually print the count since the belt wasn't working...
Summary: I've had this printer since 2005, and it's been a real workhorse in the home office. I use this as the network printer for all the PCs on my home network. The network setup was a bit confusing under XP, but as of Windows 7/Vista it's cake. The replacement toner cartridges seem a little pricey, I'd recommend understanding that cost before you purchase.
Summary: I purchased this printer in December 2006 because I was fed up with spending $80-$100 in replacement ink cartridges for my ink-jet printers every year. In the past three years I have never had a complaint or issue with this printer, and just this past month have I had to refill my first printer cartridge (the black cartridge, with 5217 pages per the internal page counter).
Summary: I have NEVER had much trouble with printers. They get a few years old and just stop working. But I've had nothing but problems with this horrific device! From the beginning, the manual was practically in Chinese, the operation was so complicated that I had to refer to (and decipher) the manual over and over. I would never buy anything from BroHoe again, and suggest you STAY AWAY!
