Excerpt: After paying an extra $30 to get the wireless version of this printer, I am completely unable to make it work on my PC. Via wired connection it is fine. All attempts to install the drivers, etc as indicated by the CD-ROM have failed. Tried to talk with Brother help human being but line broke off. Frustrated.
Excerpt: Purchased based on need and (overall) excellent reviews. After purchase, no matter what I did, nothing in the world would make this printer work wirelessly. I have numerous wireless devices that I've hooked up with ease: this function simply would NOT work. Also, it will NOT work with other wireless printers on the same router (which you are not told until you are deep into the manual. However, this was not the reason it would not work.
Cons: can run only one wireless printer at a time, no support from brother, tracks black lines across preprinted checks
Summary: We have dozens of Brother printers and the 2270DW has an issue with the toner light not resetting after replacing the toner. We are using new genuine Brother toner. We must open the front door on the printer, turn the printer off, press and hold the GO button, then release the GO button and press it 7 or 8 more times depending on the toner cartridge yield and then close the toner door and cross our fingers. It is unacceptable.
Excerpt: Noise - sounds like a jalopy while printing. And then a noisey fan comes on and STAYS on for about 5 minutes (even after printing just 1 page). But my biggest gripe is how fast the toner depletes. I just put in a "high yield" cartridge (2600 pages)and less than a week later the toner light flashes; I shake the cartridge and it's good for another day - and this after about 500 pages.
Summary: I bought this to work wirelessly with my apple iPhone, The app allows you to print a PDF, a stored picture & a memo ONLY. Need to get "air print ready" model to print anything else like an email or off a web site. Returned for different model.
Summary: I'm currently running a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.8.4 and was specifically told by Brother technical support this printer would work wirelessly with my computer. After hours and hours of messing around with the setup and wireless functions, I can confirm this printer does NOT work wirelessly with OSX 10.8.4 even with the firmware / wireless setup wizard and fully updated drivers from Brother's website.
