Cons: Bad wireless support, constantly looses wireless connection. I have constantly had to troubleshoot connectivity issues when I just wanted to print something. All other wireless devices would be functioning in harmony, yet the printer would have inexplicably lost it's connection.
Summary: Cheaper to buy another printer than fiddle with the circuit. Amazing timing. Warranty just expired.
Pros: Easy set up. Worked well for about two years. Good print quality.
Cons: After two years and the end of our warranty, the printer began to overload the circuit on start up causing all the other equipment on the circuit to go offline. A professional electrician said it was drawing over 13 Amps when starting to print.
Cons: I ordered one printed and installed it, three days later was saying it was out of toner, i put a brand new toner and in and nothing happened so i sent it back to newegg and the sent me a new one. Now after a month and change the new just gave me the same error. Not sure if is the environment the ...
Summary: This is just sad. We have dozens of Brother printers and the 2270DWs have all had issues with the toner light. New genuine Brother toner doesn't make the toner light go off. The printer will not print with the toner light on.
Pros: Cheap printer, low cost per page.
Cons: Toner light wont go off without special key combination. Makes printer useless without a call to tech support.
Summary: I buy Brother printers. Most printers at our company are Brother and until I bought 3 or 4 of these HL-2270DW I never questioned what I bought from Brother. Print engine does not work with DCL and as such does not work with our company business software running on old UNIX system.
Summary: I returned this printer after one day of use because it was too noisy. The fan kept running & running after printing stopped. Even after only printing 1 page the fan would run for 15 minutes! I replaced it with a small HP P1102W and it's very quiet.
Summary: After paying an extra $30 to get the wireless version of this printer, I am completely unable to make it work on my PC. Via wired connection it is fine. All attempts to install the drivers, etc as indicated by the CD-ROM have failed. Tried to talk with Brother help human being but line broke off.
Summary: Shocked to learn that the Brother printer causes a power spike that causes our home office UPS system to take over each time I print; Saddened that sending me a replacement didn't correct the issue and Brother basically says "too bad - so sad" - live with it.
