Summary: I needed a printer to print coupons and keep my costs as low as possible, so I thought I'd invest in a laser printer. The printer is great, but I wished I had saved more money and bought one that comes with a scanner / copy machine. This is a basic laser printer, but it works great if you only need black and white prints. The toner it came with was a small one, but it still lasted from January until April.
Summary: I had to replace my older model Brother printer and decided on this model. Just a simple black and white laser printer. It prints nicely and does not smudge. Then I tried an envelope and a terrible crease appeared which made it impossible to mail something in. I tried a lot of things to no avail and decided the printer must just have a problem and ordered another one just like it. When I tried an envelope with my second brother it performed the same. Terrible crease.
If your looking for a B/W laser printer, buy this one !!!!!

Summary: I can't believe the price I paid for this printer !!!! INCREDIBLE VALUE !!!!! Very very fast printing...great print quality...if I could have given a higher # on my rating...I would have given this printer a 10 out of five !!!!!
Summary: I Love it. Beautiful solid print. Did envelopes and Wedding Invitations. Came out sharp. Wedding invitations and response cards were on cardstock - no problems. Recommend to anyone. Bought for home use.
Summary: Sadly I have to give this printer a very low rating. It is speedy, easy to install, and makes nice clear print, even with the draft-mode option. When the original toner cartridge ran out I bought a Brother toner cartridge at Office Depot that was supposed to print up to 1200 pages. I always have my print option set to "draft" to use less toner. Within two weeks I started getting pop-up messages from Brother every time I printed a sheet.
Summary: I've had this for over 2 months, admittedly printed less then 200 pages since then, but I'm definitely satisfied as an ex-inkjet user. *Very sharp and very fast printing. PDF forms never looked so good with my ~100$ priced Canon All-in-One before this. And who'd object to a 1 page/ a few seconds speed? *I was worried about the electric use since the ancient electrical superstructure in our old house is quite prone to problems & blown-fuses. No trouble with that so far.
