Great product, but difficult to hook up to wireless for Macs
21 June 2012
Summary: I absolutely love this printer. I am constantly printing documents out for school, and this printer makes it very easy to do so. The only issue I have with it is that I have an older Macbook and I couldn't get the wireless to work between my laptop and the printer. I use a USB cord, though, so I'm still able to print.
Great wireless printer, once it is set up but does not work with my iPad

Summary: This is a great wireless printer for my Apple computer network, once it is set up. With one big caveat: my iPad third generation cannot print from it. Brother provides an app in the Apple app store for use with its printers, but it does not include this printer in the list. Thus, I am unable to use Airprint with my iPad.
Summary: This printer may be more expensive than an ink toner printer; its less expensive buying toner cartridges and drums than ink cartridges. The other consideration is that the toner doesn't bleed if the paper its printed on gets wet. The one drawback is that the paper supply drawer is a PITA to get open. I really have to tug on it to get it open.
Summary: Prints well in a wired network. Can't get it to work wireless. Came well packed, and was as advertised. Seller said it did not have a page counter or toner use indicator--but it does (had to add toner immediately.) Good little machine that prints B&W at much low cost than inkjets. Only complaint is that it takes forever to load anything with graphics.
Summary: We have gone the path of super-store cheap inkjet printers too many times. For the low amount of printing we would use them for, the ink dries up to fast and the printers themselves die too easily. Finally we said we'd get a laserjet...and I'm so glad we got this one! We've had it for about a year now, and whereas by this time there'd be some sort of problem with our traditional printers, this one is still going just as well as it did the first day!
Love it! If only wireless were a little more reliable

Summary: This is a great little printer and excellent value for money. Make sure you do the little toner trick several people have mentioned. I just finished my second toner cartrige at page count 5,200, i.e. >2,500 pages per cartridge. Unbeatable! I run this printer only on wireless with several PCs + iPad + Mac using it.
Summary: The Brother line of cheap laser printers are great. The previous one I had used on its original toner cartridge for several years without ever replacing it, until I finally upgraded to this one. Print quality is good - fine for most jobs, but you may wish to spend more for 1200 horizontal dpi if you wish to print very fine text or graphics. Noise is average, so is power consumption. Now, the wireless on this printer works flawlessly.
Good Printer! Observe the Toner Saving Trick Though...

Summary: I like this printer. It's been working really well wirelessly from both my desktop and my laptop, seamlessly, giving me no problems. Like everyone else, the cost of ink and toner is a real bear, so since I print a LOT in monochrome for business, and since laser printers are both more economical to feed (tonerwise) than Inkjet and also better quality, I bought this for all monochrome needs and will be picking up another, second printer just for color and photos only,...
Summary: I'm pleased with this product. I'm not currently using the wireless features so I cannot comment on that aspect of the machine. I would recommend this for home office use and would not hesitate to buy another one.
Summary: This is a good printer that has served me well so far. By extending the toner life as suggested in the other reviews, it prints far longer than expected. The only complaint I have is that when I print double sided it ALWAYS gets messed up, ending up with everything out of order.
