Summary: The cartridge is TN2005 and there are good deals around. Came well packaged, not too big (good foot print), reliable, and I'm still using it 2 years on. I use it to print Music for my workshops and the quality is really good but I only needed black and white, it's reasonably quick to print too.
Summary: This is a reliable little printer, producing good quality prints without jamming. Though it prints on most days, it doesn't really get heavy use. This is why the replacement toner is still in its box after nearly two years.
Summary: Excellent Printer. I had one of these 2035's for 3 years and mistreated it with those cheap toner refil bottles. Big mistake. Don't do it - it clogs drums, pathways and can leak from the cartridge. Use compatibles if you must! After 3 years the drum needed replacing - but I do print quite a lot as I work from home and print almost every day.
Summary: I've had 3 Ink Jet printers all from different manufactures and all of which ended up with print problems. This is the first Laser printer that I have owned and the print quality is excellent. The installation of the printer was flawless and I had it up and running in no time thanks to the easy to follow instructions. Even with the default settings, the print quality was far better than anything I had had from my Ink Jet printers.
Summary: I first purchased a HL-2030 around 4 years ago as a personal printer for my office as a cheap alternative to a network based unit. I originally thought if it lasts a year then it was probably all I was going to get for £75. To be fair, this printer has been used extensively over the last 4 years and has never given any trouble (expect when I used very budget paper). I can confirm that this is a quality unit with long toner life.
Summary: I got sick of using ink jets because mine kept running out of ink quickly and it was a pain to maintain them (as they kept breaking down). i recently decided to go for this mono laser printer and was not disappointed. i'm a medical student and all i need a printer to do is to print web documents, lecture slides and essays. the response time is fantastic, as soon as you click print it begins it's job (as opposed to inkjets which suffer from lag time).
Summary: The printer was shipped days ahead of schedule from SHD Technology Ltd and received in perfect condition. Well done SHD! This review is derived from experience installing and using the printer with Windows XP Home Edition and Service Pack 3. Note that the printer instructions indicate a USB 2.0 cable of no more than 6 feet (2 metres). I used a cable of 3 metres for the installation and subsequent printing, without problems.
Summary: This printer appears to be identical to the Brother HL-2035 Mono (A4) Laser Printer 8MB 2400x600 18ppm (M) 250 Sheets (GDI), also for sale on this site for slightly more, as mine matches both specs exactly as far as I can see. The installation is very quick and straightforward, just follow the quick guide, no need to read anything else really. The print is excellent from the first test sheet to the hundredth letter.
Summary: I have had one of these for just under ten years and would strongly recommend it. From memory it prints around 20,000 pages per cartidge and I bought the last one for approx £20 through Ebay. Paper is loaded into the single tray in the base. Other media (eg envelopes) are loaded through the slot in the front and take priority over the paper tray. One quibble: the slot is set up for the smaller US A4 and the larger UK A4 envelope will not go through.
Summary: Brilliant Printer for the office. I purchased this as an alternaive to my other printer and it is very quick, easy to install and easy to use.The installed cartridge has lasted me 2 months in my office at home which I use every day. New cartriges are expensive at around £30.00 Good Value for money.
