Summary: Working on a novel and I've used the printer to print out one copy of the manuscript (600+ pages of 26 lines of black courier print) plus copies of chapter drafts along the way. While it's great that I've managed to squeeze that much out of one cartridge (not the one it came with) I hate the fact that the cartridge costs just about as much as the printer did when I bought it on sale.
Summary: It is true that this toner gets empty very quickly but if u give it a good shake, u can easily pull another 200 pages out of it... try it out and let me know! After 4 years at university, i only went threw 2 toners.
Summary: The same review here. the toner runs out easily. I thought that buying a laser printer will print about a thousand pages.. I haven't finished the whole 500 bond paper yet and the toner have already run out of ink. Now the toner will cost almost more than half the price of the cost of this printer. Samsung should lower their price in their toner and improve the numbers of pages it could print.
Summary: I agree with the others....the toner does not last. Plus with other toners you can sometimes extend the life by rolling the cartridge. Once this one says "out of toner" there is no getting it to work.
Summary: Very poor value in terms of the number of pages this cartridge will print relative to the retail price we have to pay for the cartridges. My wife and I are surprised and astonished that Samsung would allow this to happen. Nothing wrong with the printer but we will have to find something else.
Summary: The print quality of the toner is quite excellent, but -- my goodness -- it certainly doesn't last very long, does it? I last ordered a cartridge in July 2010, and am now having to order a new one, as the old one is running out already. The thing that surprises me most is that I do all of my "heavy" printing by using my photocopier, in order to save the toner in my printer.
