The Hitachi DS14DVF3 is a Great everyday home repair drill. Lots of power.

Summary: I've used plenty of drills, and this seems to fit my hand nice. Good for everyday home use, I also used it to install a spoiler on my car as well.. Battery doesn't last very long, but when the battery is new it last much longer.. as with all batterys. So if you need a everyday type drill that comfortable and gets the job, weather its installing a window in your home or a spoiler on your car, I recommend the Hitachi DS14DVF3 hands down..
Summary: I get tried of carry an electric extension cord around. With the cordless Hitachi drill I have the torque needed to do the job without having to drag around an electric drill. Change overs are snap and you don't need a chuck to change out your bits.
Summary: This product came as advertised and has worked great for me so far. I do standard household things with it and it has not failed me so far. I would would buy another if I ever needed second one.
Summary: The set I received is a Hitachi DS14DVF3 14.4V NiCd 3/8" Cordless Drill , flashlight, two batteries, quick charger, carrying case. The belt hook is a nice feature, with a fixed angle. The Drill gun so far given me the power when I needed it but only in a short time as the EB1414s 14.4v niCd cells does not hold a good charge and create so much heat that the charger won't start charging until the pack is cooled down.
Summary: I've owned this for several years, but got only a year or usage out of it before the first battery would no longer hold a charge. The cost of a replacement battery was half the price of a new unit. The second battery still holds a charge, but it needs to sit in the recharger between uses or it's worthless. Even then at full charge it's only good for a half-hour or less. Forget to leave it in the charger and the next time you need it, it's guaranteed dead.
Summary: I haven't really used this one at work. It is our around the house drill and emergency flashlight. It has held up well and it is small enough for my wife to use. Don't know how it would hold up in a commercial setting, but it does a great job doing around the house chores and lightweight work. Battery life is hard to judge because we rarely use it enough at one time to judge and just sitting there, any battery is going to die over time.
Summary: good price, but other then that drill was really a waste of money. It broke. After about 3 months of basic around the house projects which it worked fine for, but as soon as i took it to a side job i was doing (roofing a patio)which all i needed the drill to do was screw about 500 already set 2 1/2 inch screws reinforcing the already nailed on roof.
Summary: This is a good package for those in search of a decent drill/flashlight package. One of the things I like most about this drill, is that it is very comfortable to use. The battery life is not great in my opinion, but with it coming with 2 batteries and they charge pretty quickly, this is a very adequate cordless drill for projects around the house. I use it a lot for wood working projects that require moderate amounts of drilling.
