Not a toy - a serious tool

Summary: If you haven't used a Dremel multi-tool, then you've missed out on one of the most versatile tools around, and one of the ones I use the most - though possibly not always how the manufacturers intended! If you want to debur metal or sharpen an edge, then the sanding drums work faster than any grinding stone. Need to get a clean cut in a confined space? Use the cut-off discs. Need to clean corrosion off a part quickly? Use the rotary wire brushes.
Summary: When I bought this product I really didn't have any specific jobs in mind for it, but I had only had it 4 days when it proved its worth, I used it to grind through the two outer bearing cases on a mini gearbox releasing them so I could pull them out of the casing, it provided a precise grip to enable me to delicately remove only the metal I needed to. I am sure there will be many more uses I will find for it, to justify the moderate outlay to my wife.
Summary: I borrowed one of these to do some sculpting, within two days I had bought one! The uses are limitless, from arts and crafts projects to serious DIY We have just replumbed our house in France and the Dremel was worth it's weight in gold, cutting in tight spaces etc! Excellent product for everyone!
Summary: I just got a chance to use my new Dremel and have been having a good time testing out the different bits. I got the Dremel for wood carving and sanding. I am an artist who works among other things in wood. The ability to shape and smooth efficiently and quickly is simply a pleasure. It has seriously reduced the time I spend on sanding, and has made possible projects that I previously wouldn't have even tried.
Summary: Bought this for my father, who is thrilled with product. He bought a diamond cutter for this Dremel(not in accessories) and has been able to remove bathroom tiles without disturbing others around them. Apparently, this couldn't be done so easily without the Dremel! Also had fun etching bottles!
Summary: I have had one for 3 weeks now and use it daily. The tool kit is excellent value for money compared to buying all the accessories individually. I am impressed by drill's ability to maintain revs even under high loads using diamond tipped cutting wheels on hard steel. I bought this to replace a Woolworths (remember them?) 130 W drill and it seems twice as powerful. The calibrated rpm speed dial is a very thoughtful addition as some tools have a lowish limit.
Summary: The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because of the variable quality of some of the products you can get to do various things. I think the main problem is that there is a lot of inconsitency in the labeling of the maximum rpm that every individual tool works at, which is absolutely crucial. Apart from this, PERFECT! Now to the good bits, which is all the rest really. I use this tool to clean caburators and it has changed the way I work.
Summary: i have had experience with using some of the earlier versions of the dremel, and knew that i would want a newer one when i got more serious about my work using one. the pack is a great starter for those interested in craft. i have been using it for carving perspex, wood , glass and pumpkin! the flexi shaft is so good to use as it allows for more precision, as you dont have the weight of the main body. Great buy! very happy.
