Defective (x2)

Steven M., Newegg
  • Summary: Never buying a XFX PSU again. If anyone else knows something I might be missing, by all means. I'm Drain on Steam. Will probably be looking at XCLIO for upgrading now.
  • Pros: The unit and cables look nice.
  • Cons: So I've had 2 of these now, and am about to send back the second one. Unit 1: Dead right out of the box. Would not even boot my PC, not even to BIOS. After switching back to my original PSU, my computer kept shutting off until I did a restore to a previous date. It wouldn't stay on long enough to...

Worked great for about a year

Daniel C., Newegg
2 April 2016
  • Summary: Not what I expected from a gold certified PSU with a 5 year warranty. Not what I expected from a reputable company. I was thinking of contacting them to have it fixed, but I don't want to have to deal with shipping a big heavy PSU and risk them saying its fine no issue and then sending it right...
  • Pros: Lots of power and plugs, and a cool look.
  • Cons: Bought 2/14, lasted barely a year. My computer slowly began to have issues powering up everyone once in a while. I would have to unplug the power supply for a few minutes and plug it back in and then it would it would turn on. I assumed it was the motherboard. Once the issue began to occur every ...

User Review

Karim D., Newegg
1 April 2016
  • Pros: Looks nice.
  • Cons: Product died after a few hours of use. Contacted XFX and waiting on a response. Very disappointed, I bought this PSU because it's a Seasonic but it seems like XFX has quality control issues judging by the other reviews...

Fann freakingtastic

Anonymous, Newegg
10 March 2016
  • Pros: -Quiet -Aesthetically pleasing -12v rails witch means my 390x power hungry card is fine on just one pcie cord running to the psu. -Good luck finding a cheaper power supply that's in tier 1 and has a good amount of wattage. (Seriously how do they do it?)
  • Cons: -Can't power my Flux capacitor on my DeLorean.

Quality PSU

Anonymous, Newegg
27 December 2015
  • Summary: Great PSU quality from Seasonic but with stellar XFX support backing it. Win win!
  • Pros: I've got it powering two systems at the same time. Nuff said.
  • Cons: The XFX sticker came off. :(

XFX BEFX 850W 1 year+ Update

John G., Newegg
11 December 2015
  • Summary: One of the best PSU's I have ever owned thus far, I also have not heard any coil wine but that could also be because I am running 6 old Thermaltake 97.6CFM 120mm fans that each make 36 decibels of noise. *NOTE TO XFX, KEEP MAKING/RE-BRANDING QUALITY PSU's LIKE THIS!
  • Pros: Well its been almost 2 years since I installed this PSU into my system, I have not had any issues what-so-ever with this PSU. This unit has sustained 4 power surges (protected by a Monster Power Center) and is not only surviving but kicking *** like it was never an issue. After almost 2 years of ...

Good power supply, recent hiccup

Nicolas L., Newegg
23 November 2015
  • Pros: I purchased this (Sept of 2014) for my most recent build, and have had a good experience with it so far. As many other reviewers have stated, the installation was fairly easy, fit nicely in my NZXT case. The cables did seem a bit short when I opened the package, however it was not much of an issu...
  • Cons: Recently (within the last 2 weeks) I was starting to experience some unexpected shutdowns from my system which shocked me a bit since I have always maintained a good and clean area for my rig, so I decided to check my temperatures to see if there was any overheating. As far as I can tell, my temp...

Nice PSU

Jeremy K., Newegg
4 November 2015
  • Summary: Not a bad PSU, modular and the fan is pretty quite. Would have been a bonus if there was lights on it.
  • Pros: Lots of Power Modular
  • Cons: The modular aspect can be a little frustrating. Instead of having short cables all clearly labeled that you plug extensions into, you plug all the cables directly into the PSU. While there is some labeling on the PSU, it's not really direct and it took me a little bit to figure out what goes wher...
