Summary: Plugged everything in and its working as advertised. Had a scare when all of a sudden the Power Alert went off. Seems the doggies were chasing each other and stepped on the power strip switch... So it seems the Power Alert works just fine.
Summary: For the price, this was a great buy. Quick shipment. So far I haven't had to use it, power has stayed on. With the el nino predicted for this winter, I feel I am ready. The UPS shows to have an 82 minute standby. Hopefully that will cover most power failuress
Summary: Overall it's a good deal for the cost. My only concern was the Tripp Lite Power Agent that is supposed to interface with the UPS. It keeps loosing connection with the UPS for no apparent reason.
Summary: Tripplite support spent a great deal of time trying to convince me it was the fan in the unit making the noise. Now I can get a replacement unit at MY expense for shipping. Poor customer experience; think the replacement unit will work differently? I don't.
Pros: Unit worked as specified until it started buzzing. Even then it worked as described, I just could not keep it in the same room where I work due to the noise.
Cons: Unit started buzzing (electrical noise, like a transformer) loudly overnight after being installed for 2 weeks. Unit had a 10% load on it the entire time.
Summary: The device looked good, but regularly since I got it it would click, a fan would kick on, and my computer would reset. So instead of protecting me from power outages, it was creating them. I tried calling Tripp Lite for support, but no one called me back. Ended up RMA ....
