Summary: This is a replacement for one that I purchased through y'all several years ago. The battery finally gave out and would not accept and hold much of a charge. A replacement battery would probably be as much as a new UPS.
Summary: In our area we have numerous spikes, brownouts, and outages for no apparent reason. Our part of town is serviced by an antiquated sub station that the power company won't upgrade because it still works most of the time. So if we don't use surge protection and battery backup on our high dollar items they have a tend to get fried. This this item is replacement for another backup that we couldn't find a replacement battery for.
Summary: Got this to replace my old Tripp Lite that took a lighting strike from out of the blue & saved my computer! Easy to set up & I like the fact that the RJ11 jacks are on the front of this model. I would only buy Tripp lite.
Pros: This is a good compact UPS which we selected because it has a menu and buttons to turn off the on-battery audio alarm, without having to install nasty software (like APC). We use it for protecting Sonos audio equipment, in a small meditation room that needs to be very silent, even during thunder storms and other situations where the lights go on and off.
Cons: The UPS seems perfectly quiet when on line, but makes a buzz when on battery. This is not perfect but acceptable. At least there is not additional noise from a fan (large UPSes have a fan to cool the battery when using battery power).
Summary: THIS IS 1ST TRIPP LITE THAT I HAD AND I LOVE THE FEATURES SUCH AS BEING ABLE TO TURN OFF THE ALARM AND READ THE INFO ON THE SCREEN. IT HAS ONLY HANDLED ONE OUTAGE SO FAR BUT IT DID GREAT ON IT. THESE GUYS ALSO GOT IT TO ME RIGHT AWAY WITH NO PROBLEMS.
Summary: This is my second Tripp Lite. First one is backing up my Uverse RG, DVR TV box, a PS3 and a Wii. Momentary outages no longer force reboot. Lots of useful info on voltage and run time remaining. Love the fact that the audible alarm can be turned off. I have tried others, but am now a big Tripp Lite fan.
