Summary: I have been in the IT industry for 30 years and know the value of clean and uninterrupted power. This device was purchased to provide that type of power for my small home networking equipment. So far it is doing exactly what I planned. No surprises.
Summary: I bought this after a power outage due to a car accident nearby. I had laptop on battery, but my internet was down. Now, I have peace of mind knowing my cable box and wireless router have battery backup. Tripp-Lite is a brand you can trust.
Excerpt: Great software management. Easy set-up. Love the "GREEN" feature of managing the power to peripherals. Using it on a PC with a monitor, printer, scanner, powered speakers. When the PC is powered off the peripherals are turned off. Has saved the PC and files on several power hits and short outages.
Pros: Adequate Power, Easy To Set Up, Quiet Operation, Reliable Performance
Summary: Quality manufacturer and a nice product with an annoying glitch. It has a delayed on and off button. Press it and hold it, not too long and not too short ! The true quality of these units is determined by how long they last before they cease to work. Site to Store is an excellent way to purchase and save shipping costs.
Excerpt: We have several of these in our office, and after less than six months' use, the back-up outlets in five of them quit. The surge outlets still work, but the back-up ones don't, which makes them completely useless for PCs.
gets the job done with handy power saving features
9 September 2009
Summary: Pros: Switches between line and battery mode effectively. Supported by Linux Power Manager (2.22.1 under Suse 11 running Gnome). ECO outlet feature is a nice touch. Cons: A laser printer cannot be plugged in to even the outlets offering surge suppression without battery backup. Even when the laser printer is powered by the same circuit, the UPS temporarily switches to battery mode when the fuser element is energized.
