Summary: I have decided for now, I am sticking with another brand, hopefully if I ever need their customer service I won't have to wait as long. I also find Tripp-Lite's software to be less user friendly than others.
Pros: Worked well for about two years. Provides battery+surge protection and surge protection only so you can pick and choose what you want to be on the UPS side.
Cons: My unit was in service for about two years. Then it started to do the same thing as describe in other reviews. It would randomly shutoff, with no apparent pattern for why it would. Fortunately for me, I was using a laptop most of the time so it wouldn't shut me down in mid-process. When I attempt...
Summary: In spite of my resistance, my employer ordered 90 of these from another vendor. 10 arrived DoA, 6 failed within 90 days, 8 more failed within 120 days. Over 25% inoperable after 4 months. 15 of the remaining units shut off randomly. (It's based on component temperature.
Pros: * Low Power Consumption
Cons: * Unreliable * Too pricey for the lack of reliability
Summary: I called Tripp Lite customer service. Mine was only 6 months old so they replaced it w/ SMART750USB, a more expensive model and hopefully one that works. No return necessary. Consumer Reports found Tripp Lite was the only surge suppressor that actually worked, so I've always thought they had high...
Pros: Good name of company, somewhat sullied by a defective product. Quick reaction from Tripp Lite.
Cons: Doesn't work. Same random shutoffs people have noted here. Scary to come home and find comp has shut off at random intervals.
Summary: The only, and last Tripp Lite UPS product that will ever enter our doors. APC for life....
Pros: It was super cheap!
Cons: After 5 months of use this UPS shuts completely off at random. No warning, no error lights. The battery tests all pass, I work for the power company so Im pretty sure its not due to intermittant outages :) I didnt buy this product from Newegg, so it will never be made right.
Summary: My customer was having all sorts of power trouble while using this unit. A regular, plain jane power strip ended up being more reliable than this worthless product. Between this unit and a much more expensive one that failed us on our servers, I will never buy another Tripplite product again!
Cons: Product does not do anything it is supposed to. Unit will randomly shut off and stop giving power. Battery protection is very unreliable. If you put more than one machine on it, the AVR will not be able to handle voltage regulation properly and can damage your hardware.

Summary: I returned this to newegg and went with another brand. Thanks newegg. I am happy again
Cons: Does not operate correctly. shuts off when power goes intermittent. ie; storms, power fluctuations, unplugging unit from outlet. A surge protector will work better than this. Read previous review below.
Summary: I have two units for my home use and also purchased 2 units for the company. This UPS will sometimes shut itself down for no reason, meaning the batery and sourge protected outlets will lose power and all equipment and computer plugged into these outlets will lose power. It's very bad for computers.
Pros: low price, lots of power outlets, tech support is nice. They are willing to send me a free replacement unit and I don't even have to send back the bad unit.
Summary: We've purchased about 5 of these for the company I work for. They seem to work better than the 8 outlet version by the same company. There's a single power button, which is also the test button if you hold it down for >3 seconds. Hope this information is helpful to someone.
Pros: Keeps my computer and LCD monitor on for about 10-15 minutes before dying. USB connectivity works well with Windows XP to have it safely shutdown.
Cons: USB connection doesn't work as seemlessly with SUSE Linux 10.1 (meaning it isn't simply plug and play). I haven't fiddled with it enough to see if I work actually be able to get it to work.
