Summary: I just have had this product for about a month, so far is working ok I would need at least half a year to give a more realistic opinion, anyway in the remote case this thing happens to failed I have no doubt Walmart's warranty is a real warranty, many people don't like Walmart but for the ones on budget (like myself) walmart is a bless.
Pros: Worked well for about two years. Provides battery+surge protection and surge protection only so you can pick and choose what you want to be on the UPS side.
Cons: My unit was in service for about two years. Then it started to do the same thing as describe in other reviews. It would randomly shutoff, with no apparent pattern for why it would. Fortunately for me, I was using a laptop most of the time so it wouldn't shut me down in mid-process. When I attempted to see if it was still under warranty I found Tripp-Lite's Customer Service to be very unsatisfactory. It took forever to finally get a response back from them. Not quick s...
Summary: This UPS works well. The only thing I didn't like was that it beeps frequently when it's on battery, and that was 4 hours one time. It also has software to shut down your system in a power failure, I didn't install that, as I would rather do it myself.
Cons: After 5 months of use this UPS shuts completely off at random. No warning, no error lights. The battery tests all pass, I work for the power company so Im pretty sure its not due to intermittant outages :) I didnt buy this product from Newegg, so it will never be made right.
Summary: I live in rural area that has frequent power outs. Purchased this as a replacement to older similar model that was nailed by a lightning-surge. This unit is simple to use, also includes surge protection for phone & data lines as well as power. No issues with setup, basically you just plug it in. Good value for the size.
