High Quality unit

  • Summary: I bought this unit to replace a failed HP, it was easy to install with easy to follow instructions. The fans are very quiet compared to the original PS. I highly recommend this supply.

  • Summary: We needed to replace a 450W Coolermaster power supply that was giving out after adding an HD 7770 last holiday season. Saw this one on special, with mail in rebate (still waiting for processing) and figured it would be decent for the price. Installed without a hitch, and the BLACK sleeved cables are a bonus in this price range.
  • Pros: -Silent (no fan spinup) under 50% load, -Flat cables for easy routing, -BLACK SLEEVED CABLES! YES!, -2 PCI 6+2 Pin power cables for SLI/Crossfire
  • Cons: -Little larger than expected for 550W, -NOT Modular, unlike Thermaltake's info

good powersupply

  • Summary: I purchased this power supply to repair a friends HP machine where the power supply had failed. It seemed to do the job nicely. I do have mixed feelings about the flat ribbon cables. While they were perhaps a little more flexible, it wasn't a big difference. I didn't like that the P-4 connector was fastened to another 4 pin so it looked like an 8 pin. I missed plugging in that connector and the computer would not boot.
