Fits perfectly. Bought it for new video card in old PC.
5 June 2015
Summary: Bought this because the stock PSU didn't have enough on the 12v rail to power a Zoltac GT610 PCI video card (16A max on 12v rail). This PSU has 29A on dual 12v rails. This unit accommodates Dell's crazy design choice to leave no room for the on/off switch on a regular ATX PSU.
Pros: This PSU fits perfectly into the Dell 400sc (listed compatible by Startech and by the Newegg business site, since the Dell 400sc is a small business server). The list of compatible Dell systems is different on the Newegg consumer site versus the business site. However systems from both Newegg sit...
Cons: The real problem: StarTech was very generous on cabling and connectors, but there is a bad side: bending the cables out of the way, so the case can be closed. On the Dell 400sc, you want to bend the mobo power cable in a circle to the right of the 5.25in. CD drive bays (especially the long green ...
Summary: This is a good replacement for the power supply in my old Dell Dimension 8400. Due to the design of the computer (no fault of the power supply) the power lead to the graphics board is really fiddly, but doable. It would be good if you have a friend with small hands.

Therefore no one should be surprised when this happens even to the best of them

Summary: A power supply consists of multiple electronic components which are subject to fail for one reason or another. Therefore no one should be surprised when this happens even to the best of them, as it was the case with my Star Tech power supply after working just fine for eight months.
A good replacement for the dead power supply on my old ...

Summary: A good replacement for the dead power supply on my old Dimension 8400. Missing the slots on top that securely hooked the old power supply to the chassis, but the provided screws are enough to lock it into place.
Summary: I installed this PSU in a Dell Dimension 8400 (upgrading it from the OEM 350W PSU). It was the only one out there that I could find that will drop in without modification to the back of tower case to allow for power switches etc. (no Dremel tool, tin snips, or hack-sawing required).
Device labeling does not match Product Description

Summary: Refused to give a refund. Device label does not match product description. I don't have time or insurance to test out power supplies that could fry my motherboard, thus I ordered a specific model as outlined in the product description.
