Summary: My experience was with the earlier models, can't really vouch for these new V2.2 models that only come with 1 year warranty. However, they must be doing something right if they're still making these after so many years.
Pros: Good support from company, powers everything as it should for a low-end gaming set up. Have had my 2nd unit for well over 6 years and it is going strong! Good warranty when I first bought it, I believe it was 4 or 5 years.
Cons: First unit failed after 9 months. They were quick to send me a replacement. Warranty was much longer than 1 year when I purchased mine back in 2008. The 8 pin cpu plug is too short if your case mounts the PSU at the bottom.
Summary: Time to upgrade, so I must purchase another Rosewill.
Pros: It's been 2 years since I've had Rosewill Stallion Series RD450 and let me tell you this great for low end gaming platforms. While I upgraded my video card it required at least 400Watts of power which my 300W factory PSU wasn't able to handle.
Summary: Since I'm building out a system with 4 SATA devices, I would not have chosen this PSU if the description accurately stated that there are only 2 SATA connections. In the end, I will likely keep it and just get a couple of molex to SATA converters to avoid the hassle of returns, but would much rather...
Pros: Haven't used it yet
Cons: Description says there are 4 SATA connectors. There are only 2
Cons: I understand that some things arrive DOA. However having to pay return shipping on it is ridiculous. Return shipping was more than 1/3 of the cost for it which raised the price to $60. I'm always surprised at a retailer's lack of understanding and compensation when it comes to the time, effort an...
Summary: I upgraded my wife's computer from a Celeron to a dual core processor I had in my computer which I also upgraded. I bought this power supply to replace an older 350W of the same brand. No issues at all and there were plenty of ready connectors for everything the computer needed them for.
Pros: Stable Power, Plenty of Connectors, Cable Organization
Pros: Draws air from inside case and ejects through the rear. This helps increase the air flow through the power supply and draw heat out of the case at the same time. Power supply is not ultra quite, but is quite and is not bothersome at all. It has a good selection of cables/connectors long enough fo...
