Do not buy this ever! Deserves a 0

Seth F., Newegg
4 January 2016
  • Summary: No I would never recommend this product to other people. In fact Rosewill should take back the powersupply and keep it and replace my motherboard.
  • Pros: I guess it worked for a time. Should have never picked Rosewill
  • Cons: After two-three years of less than peak use this power supply not only FAILED but it damaged my Biostar motherboard along with it. When I attempted to boot the motherboard off of a different power supply it would not post and the fans would just rev up and down endlessly. Do not buy this product ...

Zachary C., Newegg
28 November 2015
  • Pros: not the worst clump of wires i had to work with they are sleeved albeit in a weak sheath very quiet compared to everything else in this rig, but thats not saying much. seems to put in some clean power, no whining or anything like that good price
  • Cons: its wires are ugly

Cheap Junk

ELizabeth N., Newegg
10 July 2015
  • Summary: Failed so quickly (installed 6/3/15, failed 7/8/15), complete rubbish and no customer service from Rosewill other than a "sorry we can't do anything" email response. Tested in another machine and it 100% doesn't work. New PSU works fine in the machine it failed in. Very dissatisfied with this item.
  • Pros: Worked well for just over 5 weeks. Cables are nice and long. Newegg.com shipping speed is great.
  • Cons: Lasted just over 5 weeks before burning out. Cheap Chinese internals cause failure just after RMA period expires. Next to zero customer service from Rosewill.

Good so far

Mark J., Newegg
14 May 2015
  • Summary: Understand what the power rating means. Just because it says 400 watts doesn't mean that you should be running it even close to that capacity. If you are going to be running a system that is power hungry this PS probably isn't what you need. Get something with a higher rating.
  • Pros: Looks nice. Seems to be well built. Good cable length. Nice wrapping on the cables. Plenty of connectors (at least for my use) Quiet
  • Cons: None so far

Go with a better brand

Joel H., Newegg
10 March 2015
  • Summary: I selected this Rosewill Stallion as a replacement for another Rosewill power supply that developed a loud fan. Fast forward two years later, and this has begun to shut down all of a sudden. I run it in a server that must stay up 24/7, and in that, this one has failed.
  • Pros: Quiet
  • Cons: Shuts off abruptly, not reliable

DOA gift

Terrin C., Newegg
10 February 2015
  • Summary: After testing the power supply on two working motherboards with no results, I accepted that it was DOA. I'll be purchasing my next power supply from another brand.
  • Pros: Nice price and good size.
  • Cons: DOA.
