Do not buy

Phillip, TigerDirect.com
27 December 2012
  • Summary: after having this for about a week (at the time) the PCIe slot decided to stop working. after thinking it was the graphics card. sending it back to evga and getting it back. the graphics card decided to stop working again. it turns out, it is this power supply. every 2-4 days i have to open my tower (after doing a hard shutdown) and switch PCIe power ports on the power supply itself. each time i have to do this i am damaging my OS more and more.

  • Summary: Product only lasted me about 2 years; was just fine until failure. Failed catastrophically with a loud POP and smoke. Input has always been filtered UPS power.

Extremely loud under load

Amazon Customer, Amazon
18 March 2012
  • Summary: This power supply normally runs very quiet except sounds like a jet engine under load. I am running two GTX 560 TIs in SLI, and after about 15 minutes of Battlefield 3 the fan kicks in and my computer sounds like it's going to take off. It's loud enough that the guys that I game with can hear it over teamspeak. I've decided to return it and find a different power supply that is up to the task. Here are my specs in case you think I might be overloading the psu.

Sounds like my Computer is going to fly away

  • Summary: This power supply is so loud I can't help feeling like my computer is going to fly away. It seems to power my computer fine, but it is just way too loud. I wonder if it is defective.

An immersive experience...

  • Summary: If you are looking for a portable typhoon for < 100£, this is a must buy. It is seriously loud under load and often won't back down until a system restart. I am rmaing mine just in case, but the voice on the net tells that is a model issue, rather than a faulty unit. If you are looking at spending this kind of budget on a PSU you can as well throw in some extra money and get a very good one that won't keep whoever is in the room next to yours aware of your activity on...

A vacumn cleaner in disguise

Mr. Antony S. Bellingham, Amazon
11 April 2012
  • Summary: Bought this to power my Crossfire system. 2 x XFX HD Radeons 5870s. I already was using a XFX 650w PSU in this system and it works perfect but my 2nd PC was in need of a new PSU so decided to get this OCZ 750w and put the 650w in the 2nd PC. Completely modular, yes it is, no attached cables at all, excellent for managing cables. So I installed it and powered it up. First impressions was it's a bit louder than the XFX but not a big problem.

No me sirvió y la devolví

Miguel Cano, amazon.es
17 November 2011
