Ticking noise

Keven F., Newegg
  • Summary: Would reccomend
  • Pros: Works, looks good
  • Cons: The PSU's fan makes a ticking noise, I contacted EVGA and they said it shouldn't be dangerous. It's just a bit annoying when the house is silent.

Supplies Power

Sean C., Newegg
  • Summary: Everything plugged in and worked. The cables are nice and make management easy in my tower. It really is an easy process, the fan isn't too noisy, and it helps ventilation in my tower. I haven't come anywhere near my wattage needs and this psu delivers.
  • Pros: Fits nicely in my case. Cables have a mesh weave that keeps them intact and manageable. Labels on cables and the psu make it very easy for a first timer like myself.
  • Cons: None so far.

Noisy?

Rood V., Newegg
28 June 2015
  • Pros: Great power supply
  • Cons: noisy. I can hear it from about 20 feet away, (the size of my room). I do think I'll be changing this some time in the future. Like others have said it's about 2X louder than the rest of my build combined. It's not "loud" but I wanted a silent build so to still be able to hear it from 20 feet awa...

Decent Product Incorrect Specs

JOHN F., Newegg
23 June 2015
  • Pros: The power supply works well and runs cold. Being modular makes it perfect to work with in any case. Lots of extra cables that are high quality, saves money on buying new ones. It's energy efficient.
  • Cons: The specs say "4 12V rails" there is only 1. This effects a number of things: The fan is going to be louder because that one rail is getting hotter than if you had two rails. You don't really get high throughput out of this power supply. Overclocking is effected, I was not able to overclock my CP...

Decent PSU, Not Particularly Reliable

Seth S., Newegg
19 June 2015
  • Summary: I originally got this on sale from a Shell Shocker for $60, but the one I got at first was DOA and I made a mistake about how to go through the RMA so I ended up paying another $60 for the replacement (At the time the price was $90 though, and I admit that was not the fault of the manufacturer)...
  • Pros: -Looks nice -OK buy when on sale for <$70 -Runs cool and quiet
  • Cons: -Quality doesn't match the retail price at all -Not durable or long lasting

An amazing power supply!

Goer T., Newegg
19 June 2015
  • Pros: Plenty of power to feed my Tri-X 290 and overclocked Intel G3258! Looks nice and sleek, and love the all black cables that it comes with. Other PSUs are this price range usually come with black see-thru sleeved cables, but EVGA goes out of their way to make each individual cable black. It screams...
  • Cons: None.

User Review

Phillip W., Newegg
18 June 2015
  • Summary: First time an order has not worked out of the box.
  • Pros: I will buy a GPU from them again.
  • Cons: I have to write a negative review about EVGA. This PSU was DOA. I sent it back for a refund, and bought another Corsair PSU. I really like their GPU products.

  • Cons: Had stopped working after about ~5 months of use. Currently going through the RMA process with EVGA as I type this.

Great for price

Amy C., Newegg
15 June 2015
  • Summary: Would recommend to people who don't care about color.
  • Pros: + Very Sturdy + Is Metal + Can use as ground when building + The modular cables are completely black (the non-modular cables are rainbow) :(
  • Cons: - The non-modular cables are rainbow - The 8 pin CPU cables were not long enough to be fed through the back and come around to the top.
