Died During Power Up

Ivette F., Newegg
15 April 2014
  • Summary: I built a new PC for work and I leave it on 24/7 for remote access. One weekend our building was doing some work where the electricity was going to be shut off so I went in early to shut off all the computers. That afternoon I went back in to turn on the computers and when I tried to start mine the power supply let out a loud pop and a little smoke. Luckily after replacing the P.S. the computer is running fine but I'm dismayed by this as I used to be an Enermax fan.
  • Pros: It worked well for a little over 3 months. System: MSI CSM-B75MA-P45 mobo i7-3770 CPU GeForce GTS 450 1 SSD and 1 storage HD
  • Cons: It died after 3 months.

Great PS for the price

David M., Newegg
29 March 2014
  • Summary: The PS died on my five year old Dell i7. I saw reviews on the big names where they were failing. This one seemed to be getting good reviews. After nine months, I'm still pleased.
  • Pros: * Plenty of connections for my older Dell i7 motherboard * Spends most of every day powered up
  • Cons: None so far

Jeffery T., Newegg
21 January 2014
  • Summary: Power supply would shutdown after 250 watt load was placed on the system, usually in about 1-3 min. RMA'ed the power supply and the second one has the exact same problem. Switch to a separate brand 500W power supply and that works fine.
  • Pros: looks nice
  • Cons: Defective

Enermax NAXM 450W

David H., Newegg
24 December 2013
  • Summary: sometimes you can get better branded PSUs but if you need cheap power, go with this one
  • Pros: works well so far a lot of power for the price
  • Cons: not modular... but at this price, how can you expect it to be the molars are really misaligned and it's really hard to get the plugs in sometimes and you have to shimmy it to get some in

Daniel S., Newegg
19 December 2013
  • Pros: Quiet and with sufficient cables
  • Cons: System randomly powering down at first build. Tested power supply with generic tester, and it was good - but of course a tester can't simulate load. Swapped PSU for a different one and all is good. Tried to put it back just to be sure and the system powers down every 20 mins or so. Looked closely and found cracks in the fan blades - not sure if that is related. RMA to Newegg (and not so happy about paying the $15 return shipping either... may use an online retailer wi...

Not bad

Ms D., Newegg
18 December 2013
  • Summary: Cords are really big and bulky, you have to get creative with the cable management.
  • Pros: Good power supply, does everything as it should. Work well with my new mobo and GeForce 650. Also has a nice look, and the cords are quality.
  • Cons: None

Don't buy if there is a rebate, you wont get it.

Bruce G., Newegg
9 December 2013
  • Summary: I'd given it 5 eggs if it wasn't for the rebate issue, they there wasn't a rebate on this I would have bought a different higher rated one.
  • Pros: A power supply that works for a decent price.
  • Cons: Only reason I selected this were the good reviews and $10 rebate, rebate was declined by 4myrebate.com.saying that dated receipt wasn't included, which they scanned and posted online when they received the rebate form. They have no phone number and don't reply to emails.
