AWESOME customer/warranty support

Ricky L., Newegg
8 January 2015
  • Pros: AWESOME customer service from Enermax. Bought two of these about a year ago, one started having an issue, where the system would power down intermittently. Had to turn off PSU until the mobo light goes out, turn it back on and hit Power on case, Win 7 would boot back up stating "Resuming Windows"...
  • Cons: Non, IMO.

  • Summary: Picked up off cheaper than found on Newegg. Amd recommended this unit among others for the 295x2 on their product page
  • Pros: -powers my r295x2 without a hiccup -fully modular -multiple 12v rails, but can be subjective -Enermax makes some quality psus -small size for its wattage
  • Cons: -cables are a little stiff and short -cable headers fit too snug

Great price/efficient ratio

Anonymous, Newegg
14 July 2014
  • Summary: This PSU is really build with quality. Perfect for mining that you need the system on for 24/7. however, make sure you know power required for your GPUs or you will run into problem. Took me a couple tries, but it works great once you get pci-e cable connected correctly.
  • Pros: Great price/efficient ratio PSU. It runs 24hrs without any problem. Powered up 3 R9 290X for my mining!!
  • Cons: connecting pci-e power cable can be tricky. I had to refer to their rail layout to get the cables connected correctly.

I thought it was the PSU, it wasn't

C R., Newegg
8 July 2014
  • Summary: The protections on the PSU do function as intended. It was shutting down randomly, and then refusing to turn on for extended periods. It occured for a month, stopped, then occured again when the workstation was moved to another site. I even started the RMA process. However...
  • Pros: ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS, Xeon E5-2630@1.8GHz, 32GB DDR3 @1600, 8x 7200RPM 3.5 HDD (SATA 3), 1 DVD-R, 10 usb devices, ATI HD560.
  • Cons: The price still makes me cry, but at least it actually consumes less power when the load is lower (Kill-a-watt).

It's a matter of time...

CESAR M., Newegg
14 June 2014
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Don't buy this PSU, it wont last. I bought one at newegg ~5 months ago, in the first 4 months I was using it with a charge of less than 800w, I started the heavy usage (~1200w) like a month ago and in these conditions the ENERMAX product failed very quickly. If you bought this product I recommend...

rick c., Newegg
22 May 2014
  • Summary: The connectors were kinda awkward to plug in but overall not worth docking an egg over.
  • Pros: Has performed as intended with 3 amd 290s in a custom loop
  • Cons: none so far aside from the connectors feeling kinda cheap.

User Review

Anonymous, Newegg
19 May 2014
  • Pros: Very reliable power so far. I've got 3 x GTX 780 in SLI, and there aren't many PSUs out there with this much power. I knew Enermax were known for the quality power supplies in the past, so I decided to go out on a limb and pick this one up. So far so good.
  • Cons: Cables are rigid, but you gotta bend them around to get them in the shape you need. Also the heads of the plug make for a very tight fit.

PSU Died

William T., Newegg
18 April 2014
  • Pros: 1500W was enough to power a powerhouse. This was perfect for my 3D work that I do and the video games I played. Enough to power my 3 graphic cards.
  • Cons: Not consistent flow. Low amp. My PSU died after a few months.

STAY AWAY Poor Customer Service and Quality

Johnny O., Newegg
26 February 2014
  • Summary: I can excuse that one out of the two units I bought died in 6 months, but I can't excuse the poor customer service. You're better off purchasing a different brand.
  • Pros: Big beefy power supply.
  • Cons: Customer service is horrible. I have two of these. One blew out after 6 months and I've been trying to get a RMA for two months. It took them over a week to respond, asking for a receipt. I emailed them the receipt and haven't heard back for over a month. I then initiated a new RMA request and at...
