Summary: I'm very happy with my purchase and fully intend to get another one when my finances permit it.
Pros: After only having this thing a couple of months I can happily give my recommendation. Not only does it have great surge protection (4 slots) but it has eight (eight!) slots for the battery back up and using them all I still get 90 minutes if power goes out thus giving me ample time to shut everyt...
Cons: None yet. Will amend my review if anything comes up though. Personally though, I'm sure they won't.
Summary: If you don't already own a PSU, it's a mighty good investment to spend some loot on a good one. It's probably too much for my machine, but as the saying goes, "too much is never enough". And it's lasted me for just over a year so far.. Protect your investments.
Pros: Simple. Gratifying. Sexy design. Simple to control. Included software will give you some insight to the power coming into your PC on a regular basis. At least for the 950 VA, it provided my power hungry desktop with about 45 minutes of uptime, and just my modem/router about three hours of life du...
Cons: The LED backlight doesn't have an option to stay on, or have any kind of adjustable duration. Definitely not enough of an issue to cost an egg.
Pros: If you're have the IQ to build a computer, you should protect it with clean, uninterrupted voltage to your PSU. I own 6 of these things and none have failed or ever let me down. I have one on every TV and computer. Storms and brownouts come, my hardware is protected.
Summary: I got this for my Synology DS1813+ and a low wattage PC. I thought I was going to around 15 minutes of battery but I get around 40 minutes. The unit is a little big but I knew that when I bought it.
Pros: Its a battery backup unit. Has surge protection. LCD with an ETA on battery remaining along with other details.
Cons: No major cons. LED power button is a little bright for it to be in a entertainment room. 8 hour charge time is a little off. More like 9 hours on full discharge. Batteries are sealed lead-acid wet cells. I just hope they don't leak over time.
Summary: The description needs to be changed on newegg for these AVR models as they provide no simulated sine wave as is listed. The will not work with modern power supplies in PCs with Active PFC because they do not provide sine wave or simulated sine wave power.
Pros: Backup unit works great. Keeps desktop running for about 30min after power lose. Also have my router and modem hooked up to it. Without the desktop running, the router and modem seem to last forever on the battery. Will buy another for my TV and Xbox.
Summary: It does what it is supposed to without being obtrusive. Longevity has been wonderful, considering that many things nowadays are meant to go bad.
Pros: Have had this 1350VA Cyber Power UPS for over 3 years now, powering my computer, 3 phone lines, and an all in one printer/fax machine during power outages. I've never lost any data, and thankfully live in an area where most outages are sub 2 minutes long.
