Summary: Battery backups are Heavy, if you get a bad one (Like I did) you are out of luck. I live in Central Florida. Battery backups & surge protection are mandatory. I have Always stuck with APC until now. CyberPower is a Terrible company. Never Again.
Pros: It Seems to work so far......................
Cons: Buyer Beware!!! CyberPower does NOT seal there Boxes with shrink wrap or even tape them closed. Anyone from the Factory to your front door can open them & take what ever they want out of it. My unit arrived in a timely fashion from newegg but was MISSING- The Software CD, coaxial cable, ether net...
Summary: Manufacturers should bear cost of return during warranty period or at least for 30 days. That might improve product reliability.
Pros: Really great power level for the price especially with free shipping. Great features and number of outlets.
Cons: Plugged it in and it worked great. Plenty of power for my requirements. Died after 3 days. Powered itself down overnight. Turned it back on and got surge suppressed power out but no battery backed up power. RMA'd it. Shipping cost to return is $26 USD. Not quite as good a deal as I first thought.
Summary: I wrote a previous review explaining that one of the 2 units I purchased failed shortly after I bought them. I wrote a review and it was promptly replied to by the manufacturer offering assistance.
Pros: 1 out of 2 working
Cons: 1 out of 2 working. Company appears to only offer lip service when it comes to support or replacement of a faulty unit.
Summary: Avoid if your home is vulnerable to fire.
Pros: I had an illusion of power security for the first day or so.
Cons: Perhaps a common faux pas indicative of my ignorance in the world of UPSs, I plugged a small, desktop fan into mine. It burst into flames. Fire shot from the plastic vents. They died out after putting what I'm sure is a healthy bit of carcinogenic fumes in my lungs. I miss the UPS not one bit at ...
Summary: Really hoping to get a quick fix for this because I needed this today. Will re-rate when I can use it.
Pros: Fast delivery as always!
Cons: Just came in. The package was falling apart when delivered. It wasn't even shipped in a package, just its own box. Haven't tested to see if it works or not because the ground plug is bent upwards. Scratches cover it. I love new egg and have got stuff from cyberpower as well and never had this pro...
Cons: The unit went dead by itself after 2 months (there were no problem with power as far as I can tell judjing by other equipment connected to the same line). Got an RMA, but I have to pay shipping (~$50) and they promised 4 weeks + something for a turnaround.
