5 years and still going strong!

Anonymous, Newegg
25 November 2015
  • Pros: 950 watts. Plenty for most PC's Lots of connections. Pretty case. Very well packaged, while I'm thinking about it.
  • Cons: Since it is not modular and it has a lot of connections, you need to find a way to store all that extra wiring out of the way.

It won't die.

Joseph D., Newegg
15 December 2014
  • Summary: I wish it was still available for purchase.
  • Pros: It has good power output and has survived everything i've thrown at it since 2009. It's now almost 2015
  • Cons: It's got enough cables to be called a Kraken, and they're stiff.

Too Many Cords

Julian A., Newegg
1 November 2013
  • Pros: Works flawlessly
  • Cons: So many cables at least I have the huge Thor V2 case so I can deal with them, but I couldn't imagine this thing in a medium sized tower

long lasting PSU, shame it's discontinued

Joseph L., Newegg
23 May 2013
  • Pros: after 5 years, my PSU has given me no problems, aside from fitting the cables. This thing is a Kraken unleashed in my pc, and stillhandles an overclocked Vishera and 2 HD 7970's without heating much or making noise (or at least, no noise that can be heard over my GPU fans.)
  • Cons: not modular, discontinued on newegg.

3 years of Solid Performance

Michael F., Newegg
13 May 2013
  • Pros: Great PSU, great bang-for-the-buck equipment. Although it's not modular, I use all the trees anyway, so I get to bankroll the difference. Small size, quiet fan, single 12v rail with more than enough headroom for my G1.Assassin, i7 930, dual GTX570's and Coolit Freezone Elite, plus fans, fans, and...
  • Cons: none

Great PSU!

AMAN K., Newegg
16 December 2011
  • Summary: Had it for 5 mo's and never had any problems to it, So I did a custom sleeving thus voiding warranty, but I trust corsair and I believe this will last me for 2yrs. I am only using about 600Watts of its total Official capacity of 950.
  • Pros: -Long cables -can handle very heavy load! -Sleeved (thats if you do not plan to do custom sleeving)
  • Cons: -Non modular (but I knew bout this so its not really a con to me, its more of a wish it was, but hey! it wont get those fluctuations that modular PSU's get since this is non-modular)

My Favorite PSU

Gregory M., Newegg
18 August 2011
  • Summary: I've owned 5 different PSU's in the last 6 years (different computers). Tips: Avoid dual fan PSU's (gimmick + they are bad with heat and efficiency) If your computer exceeds 60% of you PSU's rated power get a bigger size Mount your PSU away from your processor/gpu/heat sources This PSU is bottom...
  • Pros: Perfect power regulation This thing doesn't sweat a beat I spend 8 months of the year in an old New York house built pre 1900's. I have voltage fluctuations from 105v to 140v+. (example: incandescent light bulbs last 3-5 weeks). I hope to be able to afford to fix the wiring this year, but this PS...
  • Cons: Wish I could bundle the unused cables better - but I'm not paying extra for modular PSU's. I have them zip-tied behind the MB.

Dr. Octopus delivers power.

VLAD I., Newegg
10 August 2011
  • Summary: Rather strange how it stays on the bottom in my Scout case.
  • Pros: Tons of cable for expansion and plenty of power for those people that are serious video editors. Awesome yellow and black look.
  • Cons: 0.
