Also had random shutdowns

Michael P., Newegg
16 November 2011
  • Summary: Corsair RMA was painless and straight forward. They RMA'd it without hassle, I did it when I was leaving for out of town, when I came back the new psu was waiting for me.
  • Pros: Plenty of connections, more amps on a single rail than I would ever use.
  • Cons: Had similar problem as Marx, random hard shutdowns, and reboots started occuring after one year. First I thought it was my mobo, which I RMA'd, when that did not solve it, I RMA'd PSU, which seems to have solved the problem.

Geat PSU

Joshua B., Newegg
15 June 2011
  • Summary: Great PSU for the money and Corsair has yet to let me down!
  • Pros: Has more than most need for connectors and 950 watts is wonderful for most systems!
  • Cons: The way my 8 pin for my CPU on my MB was located it was somewhat hard to adjust the cord as it was almost not enough to reach the plug.

works

Randall O., Newegg
22 March 2011
  • Summary: First one I had was a dud, and I RMA'ed the wrong set of items. This thing cost me 22 dollars in shipping and i'm going to dock an egg. Other than that, this is a good PSU.
  • Pros: Powerful and cool, quiet, like the wires protection very sturdy.
  • Cons: DOA for first one, shipping cost me 22 dollars. Really, i shouldn't have gotten this one. I'm only running 1 optical drive and 1 hard drive. The amount of cables was ridiculous. I know some need it but with my case the cable management was easy. 4 of 5 eggs because it works great..

User Review

Tyler H., Newegg
2 March 2011
  • Summary: Very heart breaking because I loved everything about this one in particular. I RMA'ed the Mobo just to make sure nothing was damaged and I'm refunding this PSU to get a different brand.
  • Pros: All in all, I'm sure this power supply is great.
  • Cons: This PSU in particular and I believe it's the whole TX series, does not play nicely with ASUS P6 series motherboards. Also, if you have a mid tower...you're gonna need lots of zip ties for the cords. This thing has a stupid amount of them. If you get this powersupply get a bottom mounted mid towe...

Corsair 950W PSU

Corey S., Newegg
16 January 2011
  • Summary: I have used Corsair products for years, and rarely have issues with them. My 950W burned itself out after 3 months. A week from the date I shipped it back to Corsair, received an e-mail asking for additional week before they could review the product.
  • Pros: Power output, amount of connections, quiet.
  • Cons: First PSU failed about 3 months of use. Long wait time on RMA.

  • Pros: Its been about 3 weeks now and so far no issues.
  • Cons: Sure would be nice if company would offer different length cables, like full tower, half tower and so on. The cables are ridiculously long, almost every cable could have 3 inches cut off and you would still have plenty, they could even keep the price the same between longer and shorter cable opti...

  • Summary: I hate rma's.
  • Pros: Works great when they work. Lots of connectors. Still plenty of room in my Tai-Chi case.
  • Cons: First one d.o.a. Had to rma to Corsair, replacement works flawlessly

Stefan W., Newegg
7 January 2011
  • Pros: Lots of connections.
  • Cons: Lots of connections. If you dont need them all, you'll need to find some room for them in the case. Would have been nice to take the extra cables off.

A little more noise than OCZ 700 PSU

Anonymous, Newegg
4 December 2010
  • Summary: If I really want to get into whats on tv i can just shut my computer off or look into some noise supression tricks?? I already am using one magnit on the power cable.
  • Pros: Its fine PSU but puts out a little more line noise than the OCZ 700 3 year old PSU it replaced.
  • Cons: The noise shows up a little on the basic cable. The OCZ showed a little but not as much as this PSU. I have to the computer hooked up to a Sony HDTV 32 inch. DVI to Hdmi cable.
