Pros: It works great - Not modular, so there are LOTS of cables. But I knew that when I bought it. And it comes in a velvet bag. Like Crown Royal, only black.
Cons: For some reason, I'm getting a high-pitched squeal/buzz from it just from every-day use. And it's rather loud. It tends to stop when I run a game/program/etc that requires a little more power, so that's fine, but after I quit playing, It goes back to squealing/buzzing/etc.. Think I'm going to hav...
Summary: Every manufacturer will have defective units, but it's all about how they mitigate them by better testing/quality control or by better customer service. Is Corsair doing enough on both ends?
Pros: Powerful unit, tons of cables, looks pretty good. I'm running a quad-core AMD, one ATi video card, and a SATA RAID. I got a beefy power supply so I could be ready to double-up the video card later.
Cons: As everyone says, non-modular and tons of cables. Also, after a few months the PC I built with this wouldn't turn on after I had unplugged it to move it. After letting it sit overnight it finally turned on again. After having this happen several times (and it was getting worse), I swapped out the...
Summary: Make sure to check when the posted "rebate" is going to end and then add in days it takes to mail it to you before you place an order if you hope to get a rebate. Then check the website of the company for problems with rebates.
Pros: Just got this in the mail and thankfully its not DOA. 950 Watts and a good price.
Cons: I ordered this on 8/30/10 and got it on 9/1/10. Of course, when I went to get my rebate the monthly rebate offer has now changed for september. So now I am left with "last months" rebate of only $10 instead of the $20 that was listed when I had bought this. After checking on the corsair site foru...
Summary: Bought one from newegg last year for a Q9550 build, power 4 HDD, a pair of ATI 4850s, and all the usual stuffs, never a problem... Until I moved it to a i7 930 build with 2 ATI 5850s - with a ASUS P6TD mb, it won't POST. After a lot of googling, contacted newegg, Corsair, and ASUS.
Pros: quiet, long cables, power, price
Cons: Older model 905TXs do not work with ASUS P6T* motherboard.
